UConn School of Medicine

Even tho they (UCONN) know what I have now, brain cancer of the Hipocampus I just dont understand why UCONN neurology department waited almost 11 months to diagnose me as they watched it grow over the months in my brain and now im terminal with cancer. Uconn STOLE 11 months of my life and might have taken the rest of my life. Im so mad at UCONN neurology department. I now need to fight to get a refill or an automatic refill on my seizure meds because they wont get back to the pharmacy to renew it. I have called and called UCONN because my seizure meds are very very important for me but that department is not doing its job. The State of Connecticut needs to look into this before somebody dies of negligence and I dont want to be the one that it happens to because they are so disorganized. Im going to fill with the state (legally) about this before somebody dies. I have had nothing but bad things from that department happen to me and if the person who runs that department can not handle it they should turn the department over to somebody who can. Im so furious with UCONN after going to see the new cancer doctor at Saint Francis and UCONN neglected to send him my records/MRI results so he had very little to work with. I lost all faith in the administration of the neurology department. I went from doctor to doctor in that department and I got lost in the process. The neurosurgeon I have now I trust but forget the rest of the department and the person who heads it should be ashamed because I feel there is no concern except by the nursing staff and a few doctors, Thanks to my neurosurgeon who cares and did my surgery but the rest of the department needs to be looked at by the State Of Connecticut. I had to contact somebody for legal help to help me. God forbid what they have done and are doing. The place is just too big. Now I had to make multiple call for an automatic prescription refill that was suppose to be done but the pharmacy and I made multiple calls/faxes to try to get this resolved. It had taken the nursing staff to straighten this out. Thank God for the nurses there because I know they care about me. This might not happen to everybody but it happened to me and I do not deserve this, im a human and I want to live and love my family but now I dont know how long I have to live. It must be because im poor and on state insurance. As of today (almost a week later) I am still waiting for my seizure medications to be approved by the doctor who is suppose to be making sure I have them. I will never recommend Neurology at UCONN to anybody.

Horrible attention towards patients my mom caught two infections at this hospital and one they did not test for so she came home with it. Took second admission to find.
