I was always drawn to health food stores. My daughter and I were just passing by we came across Ujamaa Health Food store on Utica Avenue Broollyn. We had the best interaction and recommendations from Collett the Sales person. She felt like family, welcoming, warm, friendly and very easy to communicate it. This store has a variety of natural foods, grains , teas, herbs and medicine.We also had a smoothie made on our way out. Thank you!

Their wrap is to die for! Loaded with vegies galore and tastier than any bbq beast. I could feast on these daily. luv em!
I attended a book signing for "I Love Locks" by Dr. Desta Meghoo, and the Friday night movie. I also purchased a few items I needed. Nice little spot to get your vegan patties.

I called and ask for a product and was told they only have one left. I asked the person on the line if they can hold it for me, and I’ll be there in10mins. She was extremely rude and said no before hanging up the phone on me. I will never purchase anything from there nor do I recommend anyone else to go there. Customer service is key when you have a business. And it clear from the others reviews that this place completely lacks it. P.S I wanted to give this business NO STARS but I could’nt post unless I did.
A Great Owner, extremely knowledgeable staff, and a wonderful Shop with a many products needed to maintain a healthy life through dietary, hygienic, and organic well being. If you are in East Flatbush or trying to find something obscure while many other places just shake their heads - look no further. Ujamaa has you covered
My go to store for all my health food needs, i love the owner , always helpful. It's is pricey but I'll continue to support black owned businesses in my neighborhood.
