Story

Union Square Laser Dermatology is located in a state-of-the-art 9,000 square foot full-floor facility, in a landmark building in the heart of Union Square. Our facility was designed by the internationally acclaimed architectural firm Studio a+i in a stylish, loft-like space with treetop views of Union Square Park. The facility offers well-appointed treatment rooms equipped with more than 25 state-of-the-art lasers and energy devices, a private internal lounge for surgery patients, Italian furniture in a partnership with Cassina/Cappellini, and Wi-Fi accessibility throughout the patient areas. In addition to the latest lasers and treatment technologies, we employ state-of-the-art information technology for medical records, patient scheduling and prescription management.

Mission

What sets us apart:

1. All Procedures Performed by Top Dermatologists. Even the best lasers and energy devices, like the scalpel, are just tools. The results achieved and the risk of complications depend on the skill and training of the person using them. The best results are achieved when the type and parameters of treatment are adjusted for each patient, and this requires intimate familiarity with the physiology of the skin and the functioning of the devices used. Should complications arise, an experienced physician is best qualified to address any adverse effects.

For the safety of our patients and the best results, at Union Square Laser Dermatology all procedures are performed personally by Dr. Anne Chapas and Dr. Jennifer MacGregor, Dr. Jennifer Chwalek and Dr. Robyn Gmyrek, widely recognized as two of the leading dermatologists in the world—not by a nurse, aesthetician, or other “physician extender.” Our physicians have several years of experience with the devices they use, often having consulted in their development or participated in the clinical trials that led to FDA approval.

2. Exceptional staff. Our medical staff consists of fully certified nurses trained in dermatology, with extensive knowledge about the procedures they assist in. Each is assigned to a single patient at a time to ensure that all patient questions and concerns are fully addressed.

Our physicians are researchers with numerous peer-reviewed publications, and active contributors to the development of new treatments and technologies. Our well-appointed treatment rooms are equipped with more than 25 state-of-the-art lasers and energy devices.
