United Artists Colorado Center 9 & IMAX

Good IMAX theater with reasonably comfortable seats. The screen quality is excellent and so is the sound but the theater itself is showing some age. Very good customer service. One strong complaint however were the 3d glasses. They were by far the most uncomfortable 3d glasses I've used at a theater. They were so uncomfortable everyone in my group needed to remove them several times over the course of a movie. 3d glasses for a movie don't need to be designer but for $20 tickets for an IMAX 3d they should be comfortable enough to wear them for the entire feature. The glasses at this theater are not.

The best IMAX theater in town! I just really hope they put in a dual laser IMAX projection system like the Chinese Theater. I would love to see some better black levels. The sound system is on another level and staff is always well-dressed and helpful. The reclining chairs in the competing theaters are really nice but these come a close second. There is free parking and the structure across the way and beautiful views from the top level. I would highly recommend the move to recliners in the future as almost none of these shows are sold out except opening night premieres and it seems to be a large sticking point for many customers. I was wondering what the exact size of this imax screen is vs the others in Colorado 😎. Thanks as always for a great experience!

I've gone to a lot of theaters around Denver.. most of them have better seats than here (recliners).. but this place is my favorite one to enjoy those special movies.. the IMAX screen is just awesome.. it's huge.!! and the sound is amazing.. it has stadium seating.. So if you really want to enjoy a special movie buy your tickets for IMAX in this theater.. you won't be disappointed.. the rest of the rooms in this theater are just so so.. no recliners.. so I only recommend it for the IMAX..

Here is your standard American multiplex Cinema. Tons of screens, including an actual imax screen. Once built as the part of a planned master planned entertainment hub that never materialized, the building design leaves those failed aspirations evident. This theatre, unlike those terrible sprawling suburban versions, has a very good use of space. This allows for large spacious theatres across the board (unlike others where there are big screens, small screens, and broom closets with screens). The theatre has so far bucked modern dumb trends like leather recliner seats and awful prepared preprocessed salty foods. Don't worry, you can still get your awful popcorn, cola, and theatre grade candy at the concessions stand. If you want art house Cinema, go up the street - this theatre is mostly just Blockbusters and large studio movies. But it is cozy and a good place to catch any of the films shown - IMAX or standard screen.

Just saw Infinity War in the IMAX. Spent over $100 and the theater so hot I down think they even had the air on. I tried to speak to someone but they said they would need to see if that could even be something they could fix. Nothing got done. Also the quality of the IMAX was not aligned. Blurry images throughout the movie. Not sure anyone really cares of the quality here. I would not recommend this theater again.
