I had a great experience with a salesman while I was here. Chris V was very knowledgeable about the cars they had in stock and really took care of me. I will 100% be back again to buy a car from him and really appreciate the atmosphere the staff provides.

STAY AWAY! This place should be closed by the local authorities.
Back in may my husband came across an online ad they posted selling a car for 6k. We drove 2 hours from NJ to buy the car cash in hand. When we got there the car we saw online had been downgraded, different rims and tires among other things. STRIKE ONE
When they asked if we were planning to finance the car we told Alex the salesman that we saw the online ad and that we wanted to pay the 6k cash: he told us right away that the right price was 9k. My husband and I talked for few minutes and decided to go head since we've been looking for a car for few weeks then and I needed the car the very next day. STRIKE TWO
Alex the salesman then took us to their main dealer a few blocks from there and introduced us to Jason. This person was now going to do the financial paperwork for the 3k we needed to pay the full price 9k.
Two hours later, no one else in office Jason told us we have been pre approved for 9k. He showed us a hand written list of $6,000 in fees. + the $3,000 we originally needed to pay for the total 9k. STRIKE THREE
OMG FROM 3,000 TO 9,000 PLUS THE $6,000 we handed them cash. The car we saw online for $6,000 was now price at a total of $15,000+
What a ripped off!!! What a fraud!!!
In a desperate moment my husband accepted, Jason told him that the debt was actually something good since my husband wanted to build his credit score.
HUGE MISTAKE!
Tired, we headed home with the car.
After crossing the Washington Bridge my husband noticed 3 lights went ON including the engine light.
The very next day I called Jason and told him about the lights he asked me to bring the car back, so I did. (Two more hours driving in traffic) when I got there Jason wasn't even in the office, so I went back to this place and they sent the car to their mechanics.
I waited 6 hours for them to fix the car!!
On that very day a new receptionist started working there, among the conversation she had with another salesman GUESS???
THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT HOW CHEAP THEY ADVERTISED THEIR CARS ONLINE IN ORDER TO GET PEOPLE TO COME IN.
RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!!
I DID NOT OPEN MY MOUTH BECAUSE AT THE END OF THE DAY THEY WERE JUST THE EMPLOYEES.
She said that her former dealer always added a 20% to the price they advertised online, while the salesman laughing told her that THIS DEALER sometimes add a 40%
Well I guess my case was record breaking because the car I went to buy for 6k ended costing 15k +
Back to that day, after I waited 6 hours the mechanic told me it was just too much air pressure (and that took them 6hrs to fix? Yeah right!)
61 DAYS LATER: THE car doesn't start at all, I call the dealer and very rude they told me to read the contract if 60 days have pass they are not longer responsible for anything.
9k in debts and with a broken car!!!!
The car had to be tow to a mechanic and we had to paid $1280 for the transmission and other things to be fix.
As I'm writing this the car Is now in the mechanic AGAIN.
I only wished I had the time to bring this people to a court, as I'm reading other reviews we aren't the only one they have been ripped off.
I encourage anyone who had have a terrible experience like this to at least file a complaint with the proper authorities.
Future buyers please stay away!
Do your research and take your time.
From this experience I learned 3 things
1. Always buy close to where you live
2. Stay with a budget!
If you are only willing to spend 10 thousand then be it, if a salesman is putting pressure or all of the sudden the final price is not what you expected WALK AWAY!
3. TAKE YOUR TIME, SHOP AROUND.
If you don't believe me check their prices online and then go in person, YOU'LL BE SURPRISED!
Hope this helped!

Bought a car from here and staff was very friendly and knowledgable. I went in confused on which SUV I wanted and salesperson took the time to explain to me the difference between both vehicles. He was extremely helpful and patient. I also got a great rate! I've been to many dealerships and i've never experienced this kind of service before. I would definitely recommend Universal to anyone!!
