Up-Down KC

Love this bar try to see it every time I’m in town. Great service. Get there early. Around 530 it fills up really quick on the weekends. A lot more fun when it isn’t super crowded. Best arcade bar I’ve ever been to by far and most economical.

If you want a fun bar, Up-Down is a guaranteed good time! Every time I've been there I've always had a blast. Whether it's playing yard games during a first Friday outside or arcade games into the early morning with a new group of friends, I always love going to Up-Down. It's only one block from the Crossroads streetcar stop so it is perfect for a night of bars along main Street! Solid collection of drinks at about average prices. Games are pretty cheap and you can always save the leftover tokens for next time. If you've never been, I highly recommend it!

I've never really been to an arcade before, but this place was super fun. I had a great time! It can be quite loud, between the games, music, and people all kind of competing in your ear. However, I didn't find it to be hectic or anything like that. You just have to get used to it and then it's fine. The layout on the inside is pretty nice. Not too crammed up. It's dark inside, but lighting is plenty adequate. The outdoor space is very nice, as well. Good place to take a break from the games and sound and just chill, then go back in and WIN. 😂 Would totally recommend this place. Fun spot for a date (not a first date).

Awesome selection of beers. The pizza by the slice selection is perfect when you get a bit hungry after drinking and gaming. Nice mix of classic and modern arcade games. I’m happy they have pinball machines too. You have to order the tokens, but it’s worth it. Busy on the weekends and closes by 1A.M. Wish it stayed open later.

The variety of games and drinks cannot be beaten. The pizza by the slice is always good and I like that it changes every now and again to, followed by how good the walking tacos are to match. I love the different specials every single day and sometimes this place can get packed so it's a little bit of a pain to get into in the evening but still just as enjoyable. The view from even the upper deck is really great of downtown and the extra bar up top helps with the Overflow of people that happens sometimes.
