We are a non-profit coffee house with a faith in community!

Story

We are a New Kind or New Church Start. We are space for modern worship, a launch pad for service, a home for conversation and open to questions with all the books your Soul Desires and really good coffee for a really good cause.

Mission

We want to make a difference. Our mission is great coffee and quality foods to invite everyone to the table. Our mission is making space to serve our non-profit community through funds generated at the shop as well as through the interest generated by sharing stories and taking action to serve and connect. Our mission is to invite everyone into the mission, whether they want to support it through buying a latte or active service and mission is to be a part of the conversation of change through studies, book clubs, worship and meditation groups.

Excellent little place to enjoy a quiet morning with coffee and reading. It had a small selection of food as well so you can have a bite to eat while browsing the books for sale. It's run by the United Methodist Church in Omaha and has ways that you can get involved with community outreach even if you don't want to join the church. For instance, there was a place in the shop where they were collecting toiletry donations for a youth shelter.

Passing through Omaha, Nebraska and I can strongly say the Urban Abbey has the best latte in America I have only been here three days but you can't pass it up Will be in again before I leave

A lovely little place. A little short on seating, but it wasn't at all busy so it wasn't a problem. Coffee was really good, and some fun gifts. It isn't a top pick for me as far as coffee shops go, but it might be for you. Especially if you are into progressive Christianity.

Every month this coffee shop chooses a different worthy cause and donates 10% of their proceeds. In addition to that, the coffee is amazing, the people are fantastic and the book selection is unparalleled.

Looked like a nice place. Open but not serving at 11:30 on the Sunday I visited. "Service" being held. Religious I assume. Luckily there are other coffee shops nearby.
