worst attendance I have ever had in my life. The Asian lady was so rude!!!! Will never go back to that again. You can see all of the reviews about the Asian lady are the worst because her attendance was the worst and rude!
Lack of empathy on part of some of the staff unfortunately. Got here at 5:29pm and staff locked the door saying they “wanted to go home on time”. Left me and an old lady pleading to get in and mail a card on the sidewalk. Both she and I already had our labels printed so this was a 30 second operation. Worst part is there still was a customer inside finishing her transaction! Not how you should treat a neighbor.
I've mailed packages two times with the self service kiosk and both times, the tracking simply shows that it's awaiting package drop off. You have to call USPS and get a service request started for anything to happen. There is no safe place to drop off your packages, only a counter where you have to leave your package there for I guess no employee to deal with? Definitely go to the USPS on 52nd between 9th and 8th, this one is not worth the hassle and headache.
The absolute WORST attitude and customer service, government or otherwise, I’ve ever encountered, by far. They are argumentative and rude for no apparent reason, and brazenly violate policy and federal law with zero fear of repercussions because the manager sets the tone and is the worst offender of them all. And it’s not an isolated incident. Every visit to this lobby is contentious and confrontational without cause. And it’s not only me, they appear to be rude and confrontational with everyone who crosses their path. They don’t want to help and don’t want to be there, and it shows with everything they do and say to virtually everyone who enters their lobby. I have a fully trained legal service animal, with legitimate papers on hand. Every time I enter the building, before a question can even be asked, the manager screams “GET OUT! NO DOGS!!” from 40 feet away. Though it is not legally necessary, I calmly approach and display the legal paperwork to prove it is a service animal. Her response: “I don’t care!! NO DOGS!!” while another employee chiming in “That’s a fake service dog! You’re not blind!” They actually said this, verbatim. Other customers, appalled by this behavior, come to my defense. They are in turn yelled at by the manager for doing so and told to mind their own business. I explain that this animal has been on dozens of planes, goes to Michelin star restaurants, has been to museums, Broadway shows, even the Metropolitan opera without any issue. Their response: “I don’t care! I could call a giraffe my service animal and take it on an airplane” They literally said this to me, screaming it over the shoulder of another customer they were “serving” at the counter. The staff fully refused to serve me and tell me to leave the premises. I explained calmly that I do not accept that and will not go until they take my package. Instead of serving me, the manager proceeds to close one of only two open counters and go to the back to get a manual to look up what constitutes a service dog. The manager disappears for 20 minutes, all the while they continue to refuse service to me, and continue to ridicule me, calling my service dog “fake”. I explain to them again that it’s absolutely a real service animal, and that they clearly they are unaware of federal law of their own post office policy, and if they prefer, they are welcome to call the police, who will explain to them the laws that they are currently breaking by refusing to serve me. Only then do they reluctantly allow me to approach the counter for service, after nearly a half hour of wasted time. Again this is not an isolated incident. I rarely need to go to the post office, but a similar series of events happens every time I visit this one. And it’s not only me. They appear to be rude to everyone. These individuals obviously have no regard whatsoever for their customers, or their own policies. They shouldn’t be employed in ANY customer service capacity, let alone be a representative of the federal government. It is a TOXIC culture with total lack of care, common sense and professionalism.
Man gave me a slip of paper to fill out. I asked if he had a pen I could use he clearly had, was lying in front of him on the desk. Told me to go get one elsewhere and get back in line. What a joke.
This place is worst Post office in entire NYC. POOR SERVICES AND NASTY MEAN WORKERS. I live around the block and ALWAYS employees are so rude and disrespectful towards customers. They don’t seems to care anyways, obviously they are not educated employees. I’ve got an international package and Ms. Massey had to type in the address. She just doesn’t know international address to spell or understand. She just frustrated immediately and became so rude. It’s still early in the morning to start argument so I was still try to be polite though too disrespectful to ignore her behavior. It’s been always rude employees here, I don’t surprise. However it is getting too much to deal with her early am and management needs to know. Well, probably management itself needs to be changed. Because as I see previous reviews and all of us are experiencing worst customer service in this office which isn’t service AT ALL. The office wasn’t even busy yet, you still get worst service. It’s torture !!!!
worst attitude ever! i have never experienced anything like this in my life! the asian lady seems like she wants to confront everyone at her counter. her attitude is always like "i don't want to work here but i have to!" i just had to send a box internationally, got custom form and everything, then she told me to write the sender and sendee's information on the box because they don't put labels on the box. how can you even send packages if u dont put labels on them??!
Precisava devolver um item, a fila foi muito rapida e fui muito bem atendida pela Gwendol.
A lady who appears to be asian was extremely rude!!!!!!!! an older customer wanted to buy some stamps and she let so many people cut in front of the customer when the customer was opening her wallet to get some cash. The customer waited patiently for a very long time and sighed "Jesus." The worker asked with a HUGE attitude, "Why did you say that? you are old and at your age, you should look at your own fault but you only see others' fault. You are old, and you should've known better." The customer said nothing, just sighed and left. The same lady told mewith a huge attitude like i owe her money that it is either 10 dollars with no tracking , 55 dollars and 70 dollars to mail some documents overseas while the board clearly states it is 36 dollars flat rate envelope. I went to a different counter and another much nicer lady helped me.
rude workers. the woman working racially profiled me and said I come in here all the time asking for tape. it was my first time here. did not appreciate that
