US Post Office

We have lived in West Salem for 28 years and have never had a reason to complain about the postal service. They smile, are kind and helpful and patient with the customers. I am sure dealing with mail can be hectic and I appreciate all they do to make things run smoothly. Several years ago at Christmas time the line was long and people were a little impatient, but another male customer, who had a happy disposition and a big smile started singing Christmas songs. Attitudes changed because of him. Such a simple thing to do and one of my favorite memories.

One of the reasons why I couldnt wait to move from West Salem is this horrible post office. Closed on Sat and Sunday. Some people work all day long and cannot get to the post office during the week. Kiosk only does so much.

Supervisor is unprofessional and uses disrespectful communication, degrades people when she is stressed. Supervisor lost patience when asked for her bosses information and directed me to file a complaint with the 1-800 number instead of finding a solution. Complaint filed with the higher ups and investigation is underway. Ask and yee shall receive, guaranteed.

Came in for some stamps and shipping supplies to start packaging our wedding invitations and Ryan was a great help to my fiancé and myself. We’re taking our invitations up to the Bridal Veil post office to send off, but I wanted to give a great review for our neighborhood post office and especially Ryan for his incredible service. Thank you!

By far the worst post office iv ever dealt with. Staff are clueless, really surprised their drivers can read a map? Cuz my packages never seem to make it to my apartment or the mailbox? When I add delivery instructions to leave my 3 urgent packages on my door step, I'd expect them to arrive. But no. I watch the postman deliver someone else's mail to their door... and my mail gets taken back to the truck and off to the post office again.... why do you have instructions apon delivery if you don't use them?

I've had quite a few packages return to sender because of delivery issues, but the staff in the office is extremely helpful and were able to get my packages redelivered. Very thankful for all their help.

They NEVER let me know my letter arrived that I needed to sign for. Rather then letting me know they returned to sender. A manager was supposed to call me back and I've heard nothing. We paid extra for fast shipping and a tracking number and it was pointless. I checked my mailbox daily waiting for this letter and they've caused everything to be delayed by weeks.

Wish I had better things to report. Our packages consistently get delivered to another house a block away, the only way to retrieve them is by physically chasing down the mail truck to have them correct the issue our neighbor has hand delivered us our packages several times if they notice soon enough. There's no working number to this post office anymore, I've tried over and over again to reach them when packages get missed delivered, or as in today's example, not delivered at all, when they are listed as out for delivery .

THIS BRANCH IS IN NEED OF FEDERAL REVIEW! 12/9/22 If a place is so bad nobody has anything good to say about it something needs to be done to change this.

How are people supposed to get their mail if the only time usps is open is when everyone else is also at work? Please modernize your hours of operation so that working people can use your services.
