This place is a nightmare. I have a PO Box here and the woman with the hat refuses to give me packages if she’s in a bad mood. I will have the package slip from my box and she will insist it’s not there. She has even told me that it IS there but she won’t give it to me because she doesn’t like my “attitude”. Withholding my mail is a crime and I file complaints about it every time but nothing changes. I’ve seen her be so cruel to other people and I have gotten into shouting matches with her myself. I’ve filed countless complaints against her and even spoken with her superiors. They are well aware of what she does. She can’t get fired because it’s a union job and she’s three years away from retiring. They have also told me multiple times that the reason she is always working alone is because anyone who has to work with her asks to be transferred to another branch because she is so unbearable. It’s become so bad that I’ve put in a change of address. This is astonishing that she is allowed to get away with this behavior with zero consequences. I encourage all of you to do the surveys on the receipts and complain about her every time. She’s a horrible person and she needs to be stopped.
This “hat” lady has to be the most miserable person in Philly. Literally lied told me false information and refused to take my package. I went to a Usps nearby and they took it and had no idea of the false “policy”. She needs to be fired immediately. Screaming at customers and making fun of handicap people. Is that what usps represent? Very sad
I believe camera is on in store. 1/24/2023 4:50pm, I used tape on the table that was everyone using it, the guy behind me also used it before me, then Ms John Wanamaker let me pay this tape sad someone stole it and you used it so you need pay this, she means I need to pay for a strange thief or there is no thief this Ms John deliberately extorting customers, why me? Because I’m the last customer? I'm an international student and I didn't want to cause trouble, so I compromised in the end. Don’t use anything on this store or she will blackmail u.
good stuff, found a mail box using google map
Update from 2021’s five star to one star - super slow service and employees are pro in giving eye rolls to customers when they ask reasonable questions about their mail services. Very disappointed three recent visits. ——— Just wanted to give a five star because I was there the other day trying to mail some important tax filing documents. When I was entering the door, a woman cut in the line and took my spot. The front desk lady happened to witness it from super fairway and she immediately called the woman out and had her move to the back of the line. I wouldn’t say the front desk staff was extremely friendly or anything but the fact that I didn’t complain at all and she still bothered to take care of a customer’s rights simply because she noticed it. This is quite IMPRESSIVE. I understand people give 1 star for the long wait or rude attitude. But I think they’re getting better and hopefully this remains!
Among the worst costumer service I have ever experienced in my life. They overcharged me charged priority mail rates for media mail and refused point blank to do anything to resolve it. When I tried to talk to the only employee on staff about this calmly she yelled at me, talked over me, and insisted I had asked for the wrong thing. I very clearly asked for media mail, and asked more than once if there was a cheaper option when they rang them up as priority mail, but they insisted to me that there was no cheaper option. When I learned that she had overcharged me I went back but she would not refund me, and even refused to send my third package as media mail. Once again they yelled at me, talked over me, and insulted me, repeatedly insinuating I had asked for priority mail when I had not. Now my employer is furious with me for the extra charges, and because what should have been a 5 minute errand took 30+ minutes. In the future I will walk further to another post office even though this will make everything take longer. It's worth it to never have to deal with the staff there ever again. Please don't waste your time and money there like I did. A lot of complaints about this place seem to focus on the same employee I dealt with older woman who always wears a hat. Frankly, this person is an absolute disgrace to the USPS, and her behavior was beyond unprofessional. I don't normally leave bad reviews or call people out like this because I don't want to get anyone in trouble, but the person I dealt with should be in trouble. USPS needs to fire her. She is unbelievably toxic and rude. How can someone still have a job when she repeatedly yells at customers, overcharges people, and refuses to send valid packages for made up reasons? No other US post office I have ever been to has ever had these problems. I was able to send the same sized packages last week through media mail at the Penn Center Post Office with absolutely none of these issues. Oh and btw I only had to go to the Penn Center post office in the first place because staff at this place are out to lunch for hours at a time with zero warning.
The woman with the bucket hat is so awful. She needs to be reassigned. She is so nasty and rude to all the customers. I don't understand why someone like this works in customer service if she hates people. Ugh. Do not bother standing in line at this location, it is faster to just go to the one at 6th & Chestnut. Or better yet FedEx across the street.
Worst customer service, was just verbally assaulted by the woman working there in front of a lot of people- I sincerely hope they find someone else with better customer service skills.
The lady working the front today was so mean and rude it was crazy! Like I’m her to give you money to send my box somewhere. The least you could do is be nice. She asked me the zip code and when I went to my phone to get it she was clicking her fake nails on the table. Like how disrespectful! She may as well not work there. She needs to be fired. Never going there again. I went to UPS instead. At least if it’s more expensive they’re nicer! And treat you with respect.
On the day I was there, there was only 1 worker at the front desk. They were nice, but line was slow. Lots windows so place has some natural light.
