I’ve been coming here for years and I don’t have social anxiety, but each time I go in I have to give myself a small pep talk because the woman that works there I’ve only seen one staff member theremakes me feel stupid. The services/work gets done just fine but the staff are belittling. :/ Gorgeous building from the outside/accessible location!
This post office NEVER has what you need. Always out of stamps. Always out of tape. The staff is the rudest and most unhelpful ever encountered. I sent local wedding invites out of this post office and they didn’t show up to recipients for almost a month. Go anywhere else.
Save yourself the trouble and use the main USPS branch at 900 East Fayette St., 21233. Never had an issue at the main branch and plenty of self-service options with lots of space to get your items ready for mailing. This post office does not function. More often than not its computer system is down sometimes for many days in a row and it can’t conduct any transactions no mailing, buying stamps, etc.. It’s also often out of stock of stamps.
I had the best experience sending holiday packages here. The ladies working here were incredible helpful and so kind; they were so sweet for a normally tedious task. Thank you!
Our government at work :- This post office closes 15-30 minutes before the closing time posted on the door. We pay hundreds of dollars per year for a PO Box at this location and need to drive 20 miles to get the mail. Today we arrived at 1:45 pm and they are already closed for lunch. Official lunch hour is 2 -3 p.m. Other times we arrived at 4:30 p.m., 1/2 hour before closing. But the door was already locked and we were unable to get our mail. So outrageous!!
Nice, efficient staff. Came on a Tuesday afternoon right before closing and they were very patient and helpful. There is always parking right in front. Located in an old historic building in Fell’s Point.
The worst post office! I haven’t been to ONE nice post office in Baltimore. I don’t know why USPS continues to hire lazy & rude people. They act like they hate their jobs & make customers feel so stupid. I had to return a small bag - I bought the return label online, had the packaging already, everything was prepped except it wasn’t taped.. The woman at the front with an attitude said that I had to buy a whole roll of tape when there was tape sitting right next to her. I just needed ONE strip. Very upsetting!
Most rude and useless staff and post office in the country. 4 visits for basic services, 4 failures. They simply refuse to help you. Won't print a label, can' t sell you a stamp. They even refused to tape a simple label to a box. Truly the worst.
Currently in line two weeks before Christmas on a Saturday and it's been about 10 min. Likely going to be another 25 min. Why is there only 1 person at the counter??!! Trey need to better staff this location, it isn't hard to figure out.
Won't say it is perfect, but a lot of reviews are overly critical people are too entitled these days. The staff is not overly friendly, but that is common throughout Bmore, and is not unique to this place/location the service industry out here is atrocious. That aside, they've never lost any of my packages, and that is what really counts. Also, service is better this year, my package made it to Christmas on time when I was just shipping it a couple days before. So overall, not too bad - I like the USPS.
