Listen up if you’re a student at the University of Utah!!!
The Frontrunner and red line trains never line up, so its best to arrive a little earlier to catch the earlier red line going up to campus. The Frontrunner never arrives on time and there have been countless students late for classes because the northbound train was “waiting for the southbound train to pass”.
It’s convenient to have the trax trains and busses around, yes, but not if they are never going to be on schedule! Ridiculous! Train your employees to be more punctual and more respectful of train riders and their time!!

UTA will almost never get you to your destination on time. The train leaves right on the dot when you need it to wait 30 seconds and leaves 5 minutes late when you need to get somewhere quickly. The trax are even worse. The signs are never correct and they are not coordinated with the front-runner, so you will either be 10 minutes early for front-runner, barely miss it, or have to wait 10 minutes for the next trax after getting off front-runner.

You will experience frequent and extended delays on frontrunner. They do a very poor job of communicating during delays, so you are left unsure of when you will arrive at your destination. There is only remedial shelter at stations, so make sure to prepare for exposure to the elements.
My recommendation is to leave two trains early if you are using frontrunner to ensure you will arrive at your destination on time, especially if you have trax and bus connections in your commute.

Overpriced fares, off schedule, UTA is the worst public transportation system I've used. I almost always miss my bus because the schedule times are terribly coordinated and it has been a thoroughly unpleasant experience.
