Vanderwende Farm Creamery

My coworker told me about a great ice cream place on the other side of the Bay Bridge. When I got there, the parking lot was full and there was a line inside, so I figured this must be the best ice cream ever! But I was disappointed. The ice cream was good, but not the best ever. The scooper was very generous. I ordered one scoop. She filled the cone to overflowing, then added the one scoop. I would definitely recommend this place, but don't drive an hour and a half like I did.

I've gone during late spring and there was a long line but it moved at a decent pace. The ice cream was delicious, not too creamy but not flavorless either. Great portions. Also, the farm view creates great scenery while enjoying ice cream outside. If I remember correctly there's also a long table inside available to eat at

We have passed this place on our travels to the beach many times for several years, andthe first time we were able to stop there were dozens of other people who were all thinking the same thing! It was an easy in Easy out. although it was crowded, we were not in line for more than a few minutes. The workers move the line very quickly the portions are generous and the ice cream was pretty good.

I drove by here several times on the way to the beach. They serve homemade ice cream using the milk from their cows. They have a good variety of ice cream flavors. Most recently, I had the cookies and cream ice cream and it was so delicious! I highly recommend stopping by!

Best ice cream ever! Never thought ice cream could taste so good! You can meet the cows too. Fast service.
