VCA PetCare East Veterinary Hospital

Just days after we moved to Santa Rosa, our silly dog swallowed a sock. We looked up the closest e-Vet and hit the road. The team took great care of our dog and promptly resolved the problem. Having Labrador mixes, we are not strangers to emergency pet care due to ingestion of non-food items. We really noticed and appreciated the prompt, professional and compassionate care. I hope we aren’t back again, but can rest assured we have a great place if it’s necessary.

I was in Fort Bragg camping when my 8 year old yorkie started having problems and needed to see a doctor. Left at 4:30am and was greeted by professional and kind service. Everyone there was professional. Special thanks to Dr Stolpa, Dr Marcus and all the techs/nurse's that took care of my boy.

the doctor who took care of our 14 yr old dog she was great UNTIL IS FINAL BREATH 3-6-18@7:15 P.M. HOWEVER THEY ARE CONCERN ABOUT PAYING FIRST NOT ANYTHING ELSE

Be ware! I had taken my small dog for a check up to this place. They advised to have her teeth cleaned and estimated cost would have been $400-$600 and said it may even go higher!!. They also advised two shots that one was needed for rabbies and the other was not needed for a home dog (checked facts later). My dog did not feel well after the shots and went in the next day to ask why this was the case. They wanted to charge me $80 to see an emergency doctor!!? I said, this is no emergency!! But they did not listen. Well, I did not feel comfortable with their advise and service and since have changed doctor. Our new vetrenian just checked the same dog and said no teeth cleaning was needed and the back teeth looked beautiful!! The front teeth has some minor plagues but no cleaning was recommneded. He suggested to have her chew on some hard bones and she will be good. This is what I call having integrity and doing what is right and not taking advantage of customers. So, why Petcare was pushing teeth cleaning at such a high cost if it was not needed?

Had to have our 16 year old cat put to sleep this weekend. I must say that staff, and doctor were so wonderful through the whole thing. And was charged what my wife and I would call very reasonable. Anyway long story short we think this clinic is very good. So if you need animal help,try this clinic.
