, Vons is overpriced. They just are... Now, if you use the Just for U program in r determined to save money, stopping by Vons for their deals is a great way to save money. However, I wouldn't suggest shopping there for everything. It seems like most items are marked up at least 20 to 25% above other grocery stores. On the plus side though, the stores are clean and usually the customer service is good. Items are fresh. It's a good place to shop. Just expect to pay a pretty penny unless you're only going there for the sales and specials. They have an app called just for you. Download that, and you'll see that there are some pretty great deals on it. Like prices you can't find anywhere else.

Lots of yummy healthy food. Cashiers are friendly and helpful. Lots of yummy unhealthy food too. Choices are always good.

Vons cost a little more, but you pay to stay away from Wal-Mart. Much cleaner and quiet here.

This Von's is close to home, but aside from the very pleasant employees, the selection is terrible (as is the layout of the parking lot). Not sure if I always pick an off day to shop, but it never fails that something is out of stock that I'm looking for. I don't think they are too overpriced (coming from the east coast) - it's easy to save here with a little comparison shopping. I understand when they have great deals some items may be out of stock, but come on. My recent shopping trip went like this... 4/$5 strawberries (only one, old package left), discounted zucchini (but only small shriveled ones left), packaged, shredded iceberg lettuce (none - there is never any in the store, but there is a spot for it in the salad section), unsweetened Arizona iced tea gallons (none - I've only been able to get it a few times here, the shelves are instead stocked with zero-calorie arnold-palmers), Snyder's pretzels (section bare and a mess - as usual, I bought a different kind than I normally do, because you guessed it - NONE), EL Fudge cookies (none - but they have every other Keebler variety). on-sale Primo Taglio roast beef (none). I have no idea how people put up with the selection at this store. The store is clean and the employees are helpful, but lately I try to avoid this store and get most of my items at Trader Joe's instead.
