Very nice and quiet place during our visit at the last weekend in April. Sometimes you have neighbors, but not this time. It's also kept up nicely. My only complaint is that it looked like it's very used. Firewood (that you can collect from the forest and area around it) isn't as plentiful as other state parks, although there were quite a few downed trees. Good place for camping. It's in bear territory, but we didn't even see one or any signs that there may have been one around there.

Had a great time. Stayed in one of the shelters and stayed nice and dry despite plenty of rain. Shelter had 2 sets of bunk beds, an indoor table and a little wood stove in case it got cold.

The rangers amd park police are wonderful. And the park is very clean and kept. I definitely recommend it for anyone!

This place has definite creepy vibes, but is great for a hike or casual stroll. The real hidden gem is the NJAA observatory tucked away here. It has a massive powerful telescope that the NJAA casually uses to observe and photograph the cosmos. It's open to visitors on Saturdays and is completely free. Check it out if you're at all interested in the stars!

Pretty much closed due to many downed trees. A few primitive sites are available currently.
