This railroad-turned-trail has two separate parking lots, each of which has a barrier gate. "South" parking lot is accessible from Waterloo Road. "North" parking lot is accessible from South Shore Road. It takes about 40 minutes to walk from one end to the other end. In between there are entrances to several trails for hiking, biking, cross country skiing and horseback riding. For a short distance hiking, take Ranger Loop, red trail and Iron Mine Loop, blue trail. Takes a lot of photos of beautiful Jefferson Lake.
