Wawayanda State Park

The view from parking lot is outstanding I mean you can just sit on your hood and be happy. There is a playground for the little ones a lot of tables and grills for your picnic. You can swim, fish, enjoy the water on your paddle board, kayak, canoe or boat. You don't have a boat that's ok you can rent on. There are fun trails to hike there you can see wildlife or hike to the other ponds. Carry in carry out is very important to keep our State parks clean.

Love this park. Gorgeous lake for kayaking with both a ramp and a dock put-in. Lovely beach and facilities are usually clean and well-kept. A number of beautiful hiking trails through the park and around the lake. Small playground that isn't very well-kept, but will do in a pinch.

This was a great hike overall and had a gorgeous view at the very top. It was not obvious to take the BLUE trail at the very too to see the view but we eventually found it. Its relatively easy to hike but as you get closer to the top you’ll its get a bit harder.

We started on the board walk, and walked up heavens staircase, to the overlook. The park service has done an excellent job of curating an accessible microclimate for the public. The board walk is full of life, and a diverse selection of native plants.

Easy little hike with a lake that has beach. Yeah, beach with sands. If you want to have some private beach experience then this is the place. If you're someone who loves nature and peace then definitely visit this place!
