$5 per car on the weekend & $10 holiday weekend. We went the weekend of memorial day but was not overly packed. Plenty of shaded picnic spots. Sandy beach. Bathrooms & showers. Playground & grassy area for playing. Lots of trails

Good sights from the base. If the monument is open to climb, there's nothing to see up at the top. Climb if you just want the experience of getting there, but know that there is only a room with 4 windows at the top. Still a good experience to be up there

Great campsites, excellent that you can bring your dog. Operation Center well-run organized and helpful. Plenty of firewood around. Bathrooms clean and effective. No showers but otherwise excellent location.

I hiked a portion of the Appalachian Trail starting at High Point State Park headquarters. What a beautiful trail and a beautiful day. Clearly, one of the most beautiful places in New Jersey and if you get the option to go and visit you should do so. One note, the trail is very rocky and heading south from the headquarters you will immediately face some steep elevation gains.

This is an awesome place for a day trip. There are so many hiking trails and places to walk. And there is the lake that you can go swimming in as well.
