Just incredible park, trails are well kept and the Black River fills the entire park with gentle but ever-present music. There are picnic tables and benches throughout the park and many along the river. They're aren't broken or badly kept but are a tad dirty, bring table cloths or towels. Fishing is allowed as well, the river is stocked with trout. Honestly one of my absolute favorite parks to visit, AND it's pet friendly!! If you're near during fall, you HAVE to go

Really great outdoor place for the family. They have some mini barbecue stations. You can bring your own too. There are many benches and tables for picnics. Really beautiful in autumn.

One of our favorite hikes in the area. Dappled sunlight makes it a pleasure every on hot days. Multiple trails in loops gives flexibility.

Interesting park with walks through woods, next to the Black River, and up / down hillsides. There is a children's play set near the car park. The walk next to the river is a little rocky, but great fun. We last went over New Year's Eve when it was about 10F. Cold but and interesting and enjoyable walk. In the summer it's great to have lunch at the picnic tables by the river.

Sort of small but it's a nice park by NJ standards. It is usually busy for a hike in the woods but there is lots of cool things to see like waterfalls and large boulders. The creek is also nice. You can go fishing there
