It is in a great location, in walking distance of everything. Parking is 48 dollars a day, expect that. I'm just not a huge fan of Waikiki. It's for the wealthy in my opinion. If you want to shop at over priced places this is the place for you. The hotel is very nice, the staff is friendly. The rooms aren't very big. Housekeeping was great. The TV speaker would go in and out while you were watching it.
For the money we pay, we were expecting better. The room we reserved supposed to be 2 Queen beds but they were 2 full beds. The mattresses were so hard as well as the pillows, the only reason we give 3 stars to the room is for the view. The room service lady was super sweet and attentive. The hotel has 2 pools one is for adults the other for kids and underage but there is only one small jacuzzi which is always super packed. If we come back to Oahu on Waikiki area we are definitely not coming back to this hotel because for the cost there are better option. One tip: If you stay here the parking lot at the next hotel right on the corner has a cheaper cost, just few steps of a distance.
The location of this hotel was good. It was about a block from the beach, walking distance. It was not on the beach, but it was very close, there is no service on the beach at any hotel in Waikiki. The rooms were a decent size and if you have an ocean front view, it is beautiful. They do not have room service, which was one of our complaints. For such a big hotel with so many guests, they should have room service. We booked excursions with the company that they have downstairs and we were ripped off. I wish that they had their own concierge that booked through them. The staff was nice and friendly. The price wasn’t too bad for our stay. Rooms: The rooms were a decent size. They were nice. I just wish that they had a full mini fridge which they didn’t have. Food & drinks: The food and drinks were good here a bit expensive.
All in all, it was a great place to stay. We did have issues with one incredibly rude older woman who was working the guest services desk across from the concierge. She was on a personal phone call on her cell phone and literally turned her back on us for five minutes until another employee could come over and help us. She ended up getting sent home, but man, I work in customer service and if I ever intentionally ignored customers and turned my back to them, I would be handed my walking papers. The surprise charges when we arrived at the hotel weren't very welcoming either, but it is what it is. The luau and 21+ game room were awesome! Nearby activities: Very short walk to the beach, and everything in Waikiki. Close to the zoo and aquarium. Walkability: Very close to lots of fun things to do without needing to uber or drive. Food & drinks: Never had to look far for a restaurant or bar.
This hotel has nice modern facilities and well appointed rooms. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the attentive staff. They helped us find our way to tours, restaurants, and everything else we could think of. Being across the street from the boardwalk as opposed to right on the beach was not an inconvenience at all. And the views were great. Other resort hotels seems to be packed with squealing children which is fine if you’re there with you children as well, but this hotel had a more adult vibe. There were children around for sure, and families were accommodated as well, but it just felt a bit less crazy than those destination hotels that have a million children all over the place. For this trip with my wife, this environment was so much better than others nearby. I will be staying here next time I’m in town for sure. Rooms: The rooms are very nice. The toilet room is nicely configured, and has a heated bidet seat on the toilet that is a nice touch. Walkability: The hotel is in very close proximity to the beach, as well as supporting accommodations like food, shopping, etc.
Great service with friendly staff and clean rooms thanks to their amazing housekeeping team. Location is pretty good, it’s close to Waikiki beach, however it is near the end of the beach. Rooms are renovated and spacious, but the walls are thin and we could hear people talking and moving things around in other rooms and in the hallway. We paid for a premium ocean view room and we could see the beach, but it was only a partial view and only visible when you are standing right on the balcony looking to the right, which we felt was not worth the price we paid. The resort fees are also quite high considering what is offered - mostly hands on craft like activities that most people probably won’t be interested in. Parking can be tricky, especially when returning to the resort in the evening as the lot gets full very quickly.
I do not recommend this hotel. There is a lot of noise in the morning and at night, including water flushing sounds from other rooms. Additionally, the housekeeping service knocking on our door at 7:30 am was inconvenient. The room was nice and also disappointing, as the "front ocean view" was misleading and mostly consisted of the swimming pool with only a small part of the ocean visible. Overall, not worth the stay. However, the hotel has two Starbucks and two ABC stores, as well as a delicious Poké Bar nearby, which was a positive aspect.
I am not happy with this location. The location did not recognize my Marriott life status because it was booked via Costco. Was told it is the GM that sets the policy. Will not return as without my perks, we could stay at nicer places at better prices where they appreciate your business. In the end, after paying for parking, room upgrade, and breakfast, we could have stayed at nicer place for less.
We reserved 2 rooms of Jr. suite ocean view corner room, and we requested the 2 rooms need to be in the same floor and upgrade to the ocean front view. We agreed to pay the upgrade fee before our visiting. When we arrived the hotel around 4:30pm, front desk told me there are no rooms in the same floor, so they will give us 2 different floor rooms and provide us the free upgrade. I tried to explain how important that we need to have 2 rooms in the same floor, but she still insisted there is no available. After dinner around 8:40pm, we decided to try again with other front desk person, and suddenly there is a room available in the same floor. How could it be!!! So I argued this situation to the duty manger, but his attitude seems like that I'm rude to ask for the free upgrade. And even threaten me to change my rooms to the original reservation. Eventually, I paid 2 rooms upgrade fee and with the bad mood go back to the room. I hope I can get more respect during my stay. Besides, there is the huge different view of the ocean front rooms. But we can't find any description and photos on the official website! Noteworthy details: Different view of the ocean front view
I’ve read a lot about this resort not catering to Bonvoy Elite members but we were so pleased with the 2 for 1 luau, upgraded room and welcome basket. The location is perfect. Would definitely stay here againRooms: 5/5
