It's so big, so fun, and one of the very few events in life that you can truly say. "It had something for everyone."
Every year we go at least 2 times. Once for the rides, food and mutton busting--and then again for all of the free stuff (the crafts, the animals, the shows, the exhibits, the reptiles, the art, the carvings, etc.).
Whenever family from out of state asks to visit us, I try to get them to schedule their trips during Washington's biggest and best festivals and fairs. And this, is the biggest and the best.

Love the Spring Fair! Last year we went for the first time, but went on a weekday and it was awesome. This year we went yesterday (Saturday) and it was a mad house. We will never go on a weekend again. Also, the monster truck ride was WAY shorter than any other time we’d been on it. For the extra $8 you pay for that, they really should make it a minute or 2 longer. Overall though I’ve always been impressed with the fairgrounds overall.

Love the fair grounds. Depending on the type of event you can purchase a wheelchair for the day. Some events do not have handicap options though. So just make sure to follow up before coming. Otherwise it is a great place to come. Lots of things to see and lots of walking. Make sure to always know what gate entrance to go through to. Some events may be at the yellow gate entrance while others are at the blue gate. Makes it easier for walking and time.

One of the best state fair sites in the country. Lots of things to see and do. A great wooden roller coaster; not a long or extreme trip, but if you are a wood roller coaster fan, it's an enjoyable ride. The grounds and restrooms are clean. Would like to see a little more variety in the food court (like shown on Carnival Eats..the cooking channel). Been a fan of this fair since I was a kid.

This year's spring fair was an excellent experience. $10.00 on site parking, $12.00 entry fee (under 5 free). Lots of stuff for kids ages 5-13, also some intense rides for older kids and adults. If your child is under 5 they offered a petting zoo, an indoor play area with fun games, and a generally safe environment. There was even a dog show, a bird show, and a couple other animal shows.
