Yea/Nay. First, I'll highlight the good parts. Being from Eau Claire, I appreciated the scenic, out-of-the-way atmosphere it gave. Inside it was small, nice, cozy. The attendants were nice and helpful. Very prompt I might add.
Now then, on my extended stay in Waupaca to visit I made sure to try and get my drivers license. I had a go of the city streets with my parents and, while a bit confusing, I think I managed it.
So the day came for me to take the test. I filled out the necessary paperwork and, like I said, the service was nice and swift. Well, when my examiner came out I was a bit surprised. A hefty all-of-400 lbs of a man with a nice, calm, yet condescending demeanor. In MY car he rolled the seat all the way back very hard and I only found out afterward that my passenger seat adjuster was JAMMED. Maybe it was from him, or maybe it had already been like that, though I strongly doubt the latter. Well, if things couldn't get any worse, I failed. So hard in fact I wondered if my 6 months of lessons actually were for nothing. The previous test I took in EC, I only failed by one point! But, it seemed like this certain heavyset examiner took GREAT pleasure in explaining how terrible I was.
I've talked to others who took their exam at Waupaca and they got a lady instead, who was much apparently much better and more positive. I'd recommend going to the one in Appleton which is much more lenient and the examiner was very nice and made you feel welcomed. If you're going to try to take your exam here, I urge you to look toward other options. The morbidly obese examiner is a total, utter, and complete douchebag.
