I reached out to Wayne when I was moving into a new home and had some questions about my lease. In a typical DC renter’s experience, my new landlord was trying to raise the rent exponentially (after not doing so for 5 years). As any DC resident dealing with landlord/tenant issues knows, it’s incredibly difficult and time consuming to try to figure out your own problems! I was overwhelmed by the information I was finding and went to Wayne to see if he could clarify things for me. I ended up asking him for advice for my sister, who was breaking a lease in VA (cockroaches, uninhibited access to the building, again a classic DC MD VA renter’s scenario). He is easily the most approachable attorney I’ve ever dealt with!
