While fees are slightly less than competitors like ADP for most users, customer service is cumbersome and un-responsive if you have an issue outside of narrow parameters. Mine is that I had to let an employee go who had access to the online platform. I own the company, but 2 months later Wells has yet to verify my identity thus I have not been able to access any reports or report payroll online. Frustrating experience! More frustrating for my employees that I have to manually hand write pay checks while I figure out how to re-access their system.

Wells Fargo Payroll Service costs a little less than competitors but the service sucks. Their call representatives are not trained in payroll matters at all.
If you don't know how to record 2% shareholder health insurance on a W-2 you should not be in the payroll business. Wells Fargo should not be the in payroll business.

I do payroll for my company through Wells Fargo. Typically, the representatives are very courteous, which is a bonus. Hold time, however, for the last several months has been absurd. I have a simple, but important question I need answered, and am currently on hold. I have been on hold for an hour and forty minutes. At this point, it is pretty comical.

Had an issue where requested documents were sent to the owners home instead of the place of business. Called Customer service and had those documents sent to me within a minute of speaking with the representative. Great customer service experience.
