Wendella Boats

This was by far the best money I spent on activities in Chicago. The lake and river tour lasted two hours. They had air conditioning underneath to cool down as well as a nicely stocked bar. The tour guide was excellent and very funny. I learned a lot about Chicago and got to take in some great views.

Nice architecture tour of the city. Boat was nice, big and had a/c down below. We went on a hot day and it was sort of miserable. Loved learning about the history of the city through the unique buildings. Definitely one of the better ways to experience Chicago.

Fun to do on a sunny day. There's a bar on board with snacks and restrooms. Great views of the city, both from the river as well as from the lake. Guide told us lots of interesting facts about the buildings (we took the architecture and lake tour). Takes about 1.45hrs. Worth it, especially on a sunny day. Docks right next to the Trump Tower.

This was truly a very special experience. It was my first time visiting Chicago and I’m really glad I went on this tour! The tour guide was super knowledgeable and funny. The boat itself was well kept and it had a heated cabin in the bottom which is crucial for cold days! There is also a bar in the bottom deck with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase. The view was beautiful and it was nice to hear some history on each of the buildings we passed. Price was $40 for a 90 minute river and lake tour and although I wish it was a little cheaper (who doesn’t) I would gladly go on another Wendella tour in the future.

What an amazing way to see the city and learn more about the architecture and history. The guide to was extremely knowledgeable and made the trip so fun. There's a full bar too and a few snacks. Definitely a must do to get to know the city better!
