incompetent and careless sales staff, sporadic inventory. i walked in, they showed me one type of boot, i liked it, they then told me they were out of stock and proceeded to give me the wrong model name as well as incorrectly telling me the boots ran larger. i ordered online and now am stuck with an overpriced piece of wrong gear

Ordered an item online and it didn't arrive as described. The same item then sold out at other stores, so I missed out. Customer service via email is non existent. Need to work on better inventory management as well as customer service asap. The woman at the Soho store was helpful and friendly though. Based on my online order experience, I would not recommend buying from Westerlind.

Great shop. Stopped there last two summers. Bought great lightweight travel/outdoor stuff from some brands I’ve never heard of, but if high quality. Just got back from a vacation, was able to pack light and was comfortable at different temperatures and conditions. Wore mostly stuff I bought at Westerlind

Rude and aggressive people. Don’t go! Don’t buy to them!

The store has a horrible return policy. They allow no refunds, regardless of reason, only store credit or exchanges. I purchased a beanie there and attempted to return an hour later, unworn and tags still on. The store employees were embarrassed and apologetic but insisted they could not issue a refund per the owner’s policy. My subsequent email to the store manager was ignored. There are better stores with the same items in NYC, so I would recommend going elsewhere. In a competitive market, such abysmal and predatory policies deserve to go out of business.

Just a really good store. Quality selection of brands and friendly, helpful staff. Two floors packed with eco-friendly clothing in the sense that it’s made with high quality materials that’ll last long. Will come back.

Everything about this store--from the goods to the layout--was awesome. I thought I had landed in a stylish spot for sporty folks in soho or mayfair. Turns out I did, but in Millerton.

Great stuff from unique companies. Excellent deals if you show up at sale time. Lovely, well-informed staff.
