Westlake Ace Hardware 073

I like Ace Hardware. Typically I try to stop there first because I would rather spend my money there then say Lowe's or Home Depot. That's why I gave four stars. As for my experience when I went to the store I wandered around for a while before having an associate come to me and ask me if I needed help. I said yes and then I was looking for a circuit breaker or switch and he walked me to the circuit breakers and switches I was looking for a circuit breaker that would normally go and an electronic panel but all they had were circuit breakers for a home breaker box. This was fine however I just have never used one and didn't understand exactly how the electronic path was made. I asked the associate and told him how I assumed the path was made and he told me that was wrong and said normally these just sit inside the breaker box and you run your hot to here and pointed to to screw type terminals. I got my multi-meter in return to the store to find out that he was absolutely incorrect. In fact the hot coming from the line side goes to two blade type terminals in the back and then it continues through 2 the 2 screw type terminals in the front and then to the load. It doesn't bother me that he did not know it bothers me that he gave me wrong and potentially dangerous electronic advice

Went to the outside part to look at plants with my elderly mother in law. She pointed to a plant and asked if the price on the sign was correct saying it was 7.99. The gentleman running the thing turned and looked and said "yes ma'am only 7.99". She grabbed two and asked if we had to pay inside and he said yes. Went in to pay and the total was $68 for the two plants. I said the man outside (pointing to him) told us they were 7.99 each. The cashier was a jerk and already acted irritated that he had to walk acted round the counter to scan the tags on these plants. He proceeded to roll his eyes, use his little mic and ask the man outside who said that was not true. Then two other employees (including a very rude curly grey haired lady who clearly should not be a manager) proceeded to group around us around start yelling how we weren't right and we need to pay better attention and accused us of lying. Well you know what? You lost our business. I cannot believe Ace Hardware's customer service is so pathetic. I wish I would have gotten a video. You don't treat people that way, especially when you work in customer service. And honestly everytime I go in there the advertised price is not what I pay when I check out. Should have just expected it to happen again, just didn't think they would rob an elderly person. And the really sad thing? They did the same to the older lady who checked out in front of us.

Westlake carries a unique assortment of items, that are necessary for business, home or unusual projects. I have found things that I have searched for...could not find anywhere.
