Whataburger

Whataburger is a place that we don't have where I live so, like several other restaurants I've reviewed recently, I always try to eat at places I can't go when I'm around my own neck of the woods east-central Wisconsin . The last time I ate at one of these restaurants was about 8 years ago when my son graduated from basic training and we were in Texas to see the graduation ceremony. I enjoyed it then and thought, since we were in Arizona, that I'd probably be able to have it again at some point in our trip. Well, that point was earlier today...and it was actually BETTER than I had remembered ! The employees that I dealt with were very friendly and accommodating, especially considering how many modifications my burger had see the attached picture of my receipt . I eagerly scarfed down the burger and fries, getting a refill on my Coke before I left. When I was near the counter getting my drink refill, I told an employee how much I enjoyed the food and simultaneously giving her a thumbs up. She smiled and told me she was glad to hear that. On second thought, maybe it's good that I don't live in a state that has these restaurants...because I'd probably be eating at them way too often !

Our food was hot like it should be, temperature hot that is. But the Hatch Chiles were not. But still had great flavor. Fries were a little plain but other than that everything was delicious and the burgers were bigger than the 5-inch buns they put them in between. Where else can you go and get that these days?Food: 4/5

Order 2 combo meals, the burgers weren't correct. It was hours later because of health reasons it takes me a while to get hungry. Came up there. Told them the issues. They were polite, patient and very kind. I even asked them if I give them the cold food can we get new fries? I know, it's not automatically offered at places anymore which is dumb she said already done and gave me 2 fresh full meals. Incredibly nice.

I was in Phoenix AZ for business, being from the East Coast I saw this as an opportunity to try Whataburger. I'm going to be fair, I got my food delivered by Uber Eats. They took 30 minutes to get the food to me even though the restaurant was 3 miles away. The food was still warm which was better than I expected. The fries didn't seem to have any salt on them. I was definitely disappointed in them. I didn't include them in my rating because of the 30 minute delay. . I had a Whataburger Cheeseburger with everything. With all of the Whataburger vs In & Out burger I assumed they were in competition with each other because they taste similar. Whataburger was a disappointment. It wasn't a bad burger. It was just a burger. There was nothing outstanding about it. It was a cheeseburger. If it would've been from any regular burger stand I wouldn't give it any notice. There was nothing wrong with it. I urge you to try one fresh in the restaurant but to me the meat patty tasted like any frozen premade patty. I will not go out of my way to visit a Whataburger but I won't avoid it either. I feel that due to the hype surrounding this burger franchise, I expected more. Would I recommend you make a special trip to try a Whataburger? Yes. I could've had a "meh" tasting burger but you could experience "Burger Nirvana". Please give it a try, I hope you enjoy the experience.

I was on the drive through, as it was 9:30. GO BEFORE THAT TIME!!! Because EVERYONE wanted a burger from there then, the line was long, and stayed long the whole time I was there! That being said, the food was hot, the service was nice, and once you do get to the windrow, it was quick!!! But I was still in line for 15 min...... totally worth it!!!

Delicious double cheeseburger and fries. Juicy, big burger, that was prepared perfectly. The staff was friendly and restaurant was clean.Food: 5/5

This location is for sure not the best of locations. My burger came soggy and sloppy. The appearance of the burger really made me not want to eat it. The fries were good. The chocolate shake was good. The staff seemed to be distracted when no one else was in there but me.Food: 3/5

I ordered on Doordash and received my food in a timely manner. I ordered a Whataburger combo with cheese and the one thing I love the most I had to throw in the trash. My fries!!! They were so cold. You could tell they had be sitting for awhile. This is very disappointing to order online and half you food is ever colder when it gets to you. Whataburger use to be a made when ordered place. Now it's get it Luke warm or cold when order. I think so retraining is in order!!!
