Drinks are relatively inexpensive compared to some other taverns, and the service was very good. The food also isn't expensive, but it is delicious. The veggie burger is juicy and flavourful, and the onion rings were fried to the perfect texture.
Barely Mediocre at Best First strike: rooftop bar/pub where it is virtually empty at lunch – that should be your first indication. Second strike: The “medium” hamburger was well-done on arrival, with an untoasted, dry bun, with only ketchup uh, mustard? Mayo? Relish?. Third strike: Apparently a new bartender who does not know her beers- provided a light beer, as opposed to an IPA! Even got pushback from the server who said, “no, that is an IPA…”.. but then reluctantly went back, and..they were wrong. At least they replaced. I’m out!
Very good whisky selection. I had Lagavulin 16, and my wife had some Jack Fire. Nice atmosphere, right on the water
The French Onion Soup was the best I've ever had! The broth was so rich and satisfying! The BEST!!
Good food great view. Probably one of the cheaper places to eat by the water.
Good place for drinks. The view is amazing. Its a old school place that has a good vibe.
Clean, crowded bar. Food was fresh and better than a dive but nothing amazing. It did come out quick, which I don't think I've ever been skeptical of until this place. It was, like, less than ten minute from the time we ordered, it was so quick, it made me question how it could possibly be as fresh as it tasted. Service was good and right on it, regardless, besides that they told us to wait by the bar and then proceeded to say they tried calling our cell but hadn't actually taken our number.
Four stars for the food. 1 star for the service. The food was good. The service was terrible. Ordered apps and got them in reasonable time. Waited for 15 min to order entrees and had to have the hostess find our server so we could. Entrees hit the table less than 5 minutes after we ordered and we're hot and very good. However, empty drink glasses sat on the table for 20 minutes. Never saw our server. Finally, she shows up and I asked for a refill and got it 10 minutes later, after I was finished eating. So not impressed. She's not going to be happy with her tip. She's lucky she gets one at all. It wasn't very busy at all. To top it off, we had to ask twice for our check.
Ambiance: wide open dining with large bar and beer selection, views of the water with sliding windows. Food: decent selection of traditional pub-style food and amazing selection of on-tap-beers. Service: it took 10 minutes to flag down a bartender while sitting at the bar, my friend and I were being ogled by one of the wait staff who would not stop making awkward eye contact.
To start the service is terrible! They have two servers to a rather full restaurant, looked so nice from outside too. Waited half an hour after being seated for a server to come over. We had to ask the hosts if they assigned us a server at all. Another twenty minutes for our drinks to arrive only to be told they had no Ketel One and another twenty before that one arrived! Amazing whiskey menu though so they have that in their favor. The view is pretty good but better from the deck upstairs. And the food is not all that great, decent but no flavor.
