The staff here works very well together you can see everyone concentrated and cordial. I really like that, a sign of good management. The atmosphere is beautiful, truly unique since you have views and if you time it right the perfect sunset views. I wish I got our servers name but he helped me choose the standout appetizers. The scallops had to be my favorite the blend of tastes went so well together. I’m happy they had Sancerre as an option for a glass, a lot of places don’t and it pairs well with seafood. I can’t wait to come back and experience more of the menu.
An absolutely amazing place. The great thing about this place is the vibe. You can go in there dressed all fancy or you can go in casual nice. Either way you won’t feel out of place. The bar is beautiful and the dining room is gorgeous as well. Our waiter was great he was super friendly and helped us decide what we were going to order. We asked for the Peking duck extra crispy and it was perfect. Amazing taste and texture and it was perfect on the scallion pancakes they gave. The pork dumplings, crab Rangoon and shrimp shumai are all definitely worth ordering. The shsisto peppers were fantastic too. Overall this was a great spot for a romantic birthday celebration. Looking forward to coming back for another amazing experience.
This is one restaurant where you get an amazing view of The Vessel. We came here on a Saturday afternoon for a late brunch. It wasn't very busy and we got a seat next to a window facing The Vessel. It added to the ambience and the experience of dining at Hudson Yards. We ordered the foraged mushroom steamed bun, red sambal shrimp and coconut grits, a sizzling rice pot, and Hong Kong waffles. The waffles come with fresh berries and melted coconut butter. Everything tasted amazing. The taste was unique. However the portions were a bit off relative to each other. For example the rice pot was a big portion but the waffle was not enough for one person.
It’s a hidden gem, amazing views of sunset and the vessel, some gear vibes in the interior with some soft music, their drinks were just amazing we went for seconds too!! Had the 3-course meal and every dish we had was of great flavors. And lastly their staff is simply superb, attention to details!! I am going again <3
We went there for late lunch and got there late because of the rain and traffic. The kitchen was almost closed but they waited for us. Service was excellent! The food was fantastic! Especially the Peking duck was one of the best I had in a long time. The duck wasn't chewy but it's soft, moist and melt on your tongue. The duck skin was crispy. It was perfect. The dimsum was all delicious. We will definitely go back there again!
What an experience. The service here is incredible, all of the staff is friendly and so helpful. But the real star of the show is the food. Each dish that came was somehow better than the last. Come here and just get a bunch of the small plates and share, they are incredible. If you want the view in the summer time, come after 8pm as the shades are down until then to block out the bright sun. Highly recommend making a reservation! Amazing date spot! Hokkaido Burrata: This is stunning. The Burrata was fresh and delicious but the combination of it with the broth brought it to the next level. Japanese Milk Bread: iykyk, this bread is amazing, light and fluffy, and a real star. Crispy Pork Buns: incredible combination of flavors and textures with a dipping sauce that is also amazing. Big Eye Tuna Sushi: classic high quality tuna sushi. They aren't hiding behind sauces and let the fish speak for itself. Rice Pot with Red Snapper: GET THE RED SNAPPER ON TOP. Yes, the rice pot is incredible and delicious, but that might had been one of the best pieces of snapper I've had in my life on top. The rice itself is outstanding, with various veggies on top.
The staff and ambiance is very nice and fun. However, the food wasn’t to as good as I thought it would be. The duck was amazing but the other appetizers and main courses weren’t worth the price. It’s a good place to go for a corporate gathering or a fancier night out. Be prepared to spend a decent amount of money.
Sushi is great. Octopus and baby potatoes were amazing. The prawns were okay and the scallops, delicious in its own. The coconut milk flavor lets the dish down though. The cocktails are intense… for a very discerning palate for sure. Good ambiance and the service was great nonetheless. Super friendly and helpful.
I’m a pretty big fan of this restaurant. Great food, good service, quick delivery of food, a bit more on the expensive side but a great way to treat yourself on occasion. I really love their golden calamari, braised pork belly and their coconut milk based cocktail. Their Chinese New Year menu is always fantastic and very fun!
My husband and I went here for lunch. Located on the top floor of the Hudson Yards. We didn't have a reservation but they offered us a seat at the chef's table. That's the seating around the cooking area. We had dim sum balls stuffed with pork, broccoli and shrimp with grits. The food was really good and had so much flavor. The service was ok but the view was breath taking.
