WHS exists to:
• provide a temporary shelter for discarded, abused, abandoned, and lost animals
• complete families by matching pets with people
• lead the community through education by teaching respect and compassion for animals
• Support the spay/neuter of companion animals as a means of population control
Willamette Humane Society is independent of other Humane Societies and animal welfare organizations, and is governed entirely by a local volunteer board of directors.
