Terrible place to go. Bartender named Kyle allowed my friend to close his tab out in cash then proceeded to double charge him and charge him fee for for not closing his tab. Staff is completely unwilling to help my friend get his money back and laughs at him when he tries to get it back. Don’t go to this place unless you want to be scammed.
Sometimes this is all you need, a good no frills neighborhood bar that doesn’t pretend to be anything other than that . Great service and reasonable prices on the drinks. Low lighting adding to the classic bar ambiance plus a pool table just to top it off .
Got a lot of nasty looks on entry by what I am assuming are the regularz... but sweet pool table and fun atmosphere that reminds me of my old regular bar.
Cheap, strong drinks! Great atmosphere and friendly staff and patrons. No food but great bar 2 doors down with excellent food and happy hour drinks.
I'd call this a dive. Good cheap local bar. Cash preferred if you can.
Great local spot. Lots of regulars. The white board sign up for pool games is weird, but the bartenders were prompt and nice. Worth a check in
This is like the show “Cheers” in real life. Wonderful bartenders that actually make an effort to remember who you are and what you drink. Definitely a family amongst the regulars, but they also are welcoming to new people coming in. Say ‘hi’ to anyone in the bar and you’re most likely going to make a new friend.
Cheapest drinks downtown during happy hour! You can get a beer and a shot of liquor for 5.50 cash only during happy hours which seem to be until 7pm. They have a few games in this fun dive bar that seems to host locals that work in the surrounding offices mostly during happy hour. Usually Williams has lively crowd and bar mixed with office workers and people that live in the area. It is not a nice dive bar but it is a fun time. It’s probably fun because everyone there is buying a beer and getting a shot too for $5.50. There is a punching bag game and a single pool table that is usually too crowded to play. Williams is not the prettiest bar but I don’t know one you will get cheaper drinks at while downtown. Right next door is a bar that is selling a single beer alone for 7 and 8 dollars. This is one of those places that could be a one star or a ten star to you. It depends on what you are looking for. If it’s just a place to grab a drink and party for a little bit you’re in the right spot.
Stumbled in on a holiday weekend. Not much for mixed drinks but definitely great for whiskey shots. Clientelle? Questionable. No shame. Bartender was awesome. Attentative and assertive when things would get too rowdy
Stayed a night in Denver and stopped by the Tavern! Kyle the bar tender was nice so later in the evening we decided to go back for another beer. I opened a tab had 2 beers and two shows my total was $16 I asked to pay in cash and I gave him $30 and said keep the change only to wake up to find out he also charged my card and proceeded to leave himself another $5 tip! Be careful here they will take advantage of you
