Windsor Gardens

A great community with friendly residents and superb facilities and grounds. It's very well managed and I feel my mother is in very safe and capable hands living there. There are very, very few living facilities that are like this in terms of entertainment options and classes, and offering a first-class community center. We compared with many other places and it was easily the best choice for the budget. The ~$500/month covers water, property taxes, and the community options, so it's extremely good value. The location is only 15 minutes from Cherry Creek shopping center, 1.5 miles from Costco, 30 mins to the airport, a mile from supermarkets, and about 20 mins or so into downtown Denver. Uber and Lyft serve this area well too. If you're aged 55-85 and want some independence but help when you need it, this is a great option.

It is secure as long as people aren't just letting anybody and everybody in. The grounds are kept in good shape and they are good about clearing snow. There are garages that are in desperate need of repair. The machines in the laundry room in the building I live in are constantly breaking down. The machines are owned by third party that are either to cheap or to stupid to know they need replaced. They don't care if it's creating a hardship for any of the residence. People are just supposed to have the ability and money to go to and pay for a laundromat. You better keep paying your HOA though. They keep saying there is no money to replace machines or fix garages. They have no problem spending SEVERAL THOUSANDS of dollars you could buy a car to see about a stupid pickle ball court. So many of the residence feel the same way if your able to play pickle ball your able to drive to a court. That money can be put to much better use. ONE THING WINDSOR GARDENS DEFINITELY DOESN'T HAVE IS THEIR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT. If you are someone that likes their privacy this is not the place. The office see nothing wrong with people standing and looking in your window watching you. People think you have to be butt kissing buddies with everybody and try to be up in your business. Some people can be very rude and judgemental based on your apperance. I know from personal experience. There are people that are nice and respect your privacy. I'm not against speaking to people I know. They have a VERY LARGE LOAD of money in reserve but are always raising the HOA to make sure they have what they want and get there raises. People like to say people that smoke run people out of here. That is not the only reason. Peoples actions , the HOA constantly going up and in some areas Windsor Gardens in general.

This place is wonderful! I don't get the whining on here, place is beautful and the staff has always been good to my Mom.

The condos themselves are perfectly nice, but once you have a problem, they apparently leave you in the ditch and are extremely skeevy. I consider their treatment of my over 90year old grandmother a form of elder abuse. She has lived at WG for 19 years and paid the ever-growing HOA dues diligently. Last year they installed new fans and now there are loud noises all day in her condo, even at night. This has been going on for half a year and it's driving her insane. A plumber employed by the condo confirmed that this was happening, that he knew what the problem was, and how to fix it--but now he's mysteriously not allowed to talk to her anymore. None of her calls or the calls and emails by her family to WG or the HOA have resulted in progress if they even are answered. I do not understand what kind of people would do this to an elderly woman who's never caused any problems, but it seems extraordinarily heartless and malicious to me.

A really nice community with well kept gardens, pool, and golf courses. A great place for anyone to spend their later years!

Apparently some of these reviews were paid for ... the amenities are not kept up. You don't want to swim in the indoor pool or enjoy the therapy pool due to filth. The sauna doesn't have a water unless you bring your own water. Many neighbors should be in assisted living or nursing homes due to not being able to take care of themselves. They leave doors open to heat or cool apartments and it stinks from body odor and trash. Water runs brown every couple months.

I live here. My neighbors are friendly and there are lots of things to do.

This place is full of friendly residents who are open to new personal relationships. A safe and secure place to live.

JUST VENTING, in 1995 I worked the as a sub contractor laying carpet. I found a box in the back of a closet with 4 Rolex watches and many rings and gold jewelry. I took it to the security office and turned it on. 2 weeks later I went back and the same security officer said he had never seen me and did not know what I was talking about. So much for being honest. I think about it every time I drive by there.

My mother and sister enjoyed living at Windsor Gardens. There are a lot of activities if you want to be involved, and a lot of ways to meet people! Sometimes it's good to become involved in the management of the buildings. From what I've seen everything is well kept up and it's great for widows or people making a big change. Nice for golfers and people who like to swim and like I said, there are classes and clubs to join. My mom liked living on the 4th floor after she got used to being in an apartment building instead of in her own home.
