Twice last minute I've requested for my fur baby to stay here over night and both times they were able to accommodate us. My little one deals with some anxiety, but they were great with her at Stay Spot Dogs and even sent me photos of her throughout the day to let me know she was doing well. She also slept the entire night!! I come into town often for work and it's so nice to know there's a loving and caring daycare for our fur babies to go when needed.
We were in Columbus for a funeral and needed a doggie daycare for our Golden Retriever for two days. Lee was incredibly helpful, welcoming and accommodating. Our dog was well taken care of and very happy when we picked him up and dropped him off the next morning. We also appreciated their flexibility and support during a difficult and sad time. I highly recommend Stay Spot Doggie Daycare and will use it again when we are back in Columbus.
i’ve been taking my dog here for a little over a year now. There’s been a few times where they have been late to open by 10-15 min, I get things happen though. This past week I texted the owner asking if I could bring my dog 15 min early due to work as she told me she would be happy to do several times before but i never took up the offer bc i felt bad, she texted me back yes I could. I showed up the next day at the agreed time, no one was there. gave it a few, texted to see if she was on her way, no response. after 15 min I texted her he wasn’t going to be coming that day anymore due to lack of response and unable to meet at the agreed time. as of two days later I have still received no response of anything from her. I get things happen and have been understanding the several times she been late but it really bothered me that u got absolutely no response at all. poor management, and my dog smelled like pee and needed a bath after just about every visit :
Luna spent the weekend here, and she really enjoyed it. The folks took great care of her. They sent photos everyday, sometimes twice a day morning and night. She got to socialize. This is a fun place. Here are Luna's photos taken by the owners and sent to me while I was away. I feel comfortable with these folks. I think they will continue to do great. Update I have now left Luna here twice, and she is awesome. She enjoys it so much! Here is a photo of a friend she made during day care.
Shiloh is the only person I will let groom my dog from now on. My baby is a newfoundland, so you can already tell how much work she would be to groom. I simply drop her off at open and pick her up at close. Shiloh sends me "pupdates" with pictures of my dog, Talos, every hour or so. She is so sweet with her, Talos actually enjoys going. Over the past few months I had done a relatively poor job of grooming her due to a lack of time for dedicated brushing, so Talos basically needed an undercut, but it worked out perfectly for the summer. In the pictures you can see what the under side of the dog looks like as well as the top about a week after grooming. I couldn't have asked for a more tailored look. I will follow Shiloh to wherever she sets up shop, however she is currently at Stay, Spot!. Stay, Spot! is a wonderful facility. The owners are always on premise and always so very sweet. The location is pretty easy to get to and the dogs always seem so happy to go there.
Everyone here was so nice and you could tell they loved our pup. They had a large play area and I said I was a little nervous because we have a husky and she is very enthusiastic and comes on pretty strong and I wasn't sure how the other dogs would react to her. The staff listened to my concern and introduced her to one dog to see how she would do, then another, then 4-5. She did great so she got to go in the play area. I was sent several pictures of her playing and having fun so that made it easy to relax about it. One strong negative-the smell. Guys, please figure out a solution to this. I've never been in a kennel or dog center of any kind that smelled so horrible. It worries me about the sanitary conditions here. I know there are a lot of dogs, but thorough cleaning, chemicals for this exact purpose, etc. If other places can do it and it's not normal to be this bad then it must be doable. She is getting a bath before she even gets in our house. I literally cannot over state this. I wouldn't say it's bad enough to stay away because everyone was so friendly and amazing and even got us in last minute, but it'd a red flag and not pleasant.
Stay Spot is a great business. They took in our dog at the last minute when other plans fell through, and their kindness and reasonable prices are difficult to match. They sent photos of our dog while we were out of town and took good care of him. We have no complaints about Stay Spot at all.
