We have lived here over 4 years and I just renewed our lease. I have enjoyed this community because I have found it safe,quiet and my neighbors are friendly and respectful. Maintenance has been prompt ,helpful and polite. The Office Staff has always been helpful .Recently Kaitlyn was especially helpful as she cheerfully walked me through renewing my lease on the computer.
Where do I even begin? When I first moved in the apartment wasn’t cleaned in time for move in. The person cleaning my apartment had their pants halfway down I could see her entire behind as they were running back into the apartment to try to clean it in time. Plus the apartment wasn’t even cleaned thoroughly at all. Great first impression! Then, the first two months a whole list of things were wrong with the apartment. Both toilets not fully functioning, dishwasher backed up, disposal broken, and more. We had to repeatedly call for TWO MONTHS until maintenance came. and that was only because the entire building eventually didn’t have hot water. The office ladies are barely helpful. During the last hour of business they do not answer calls and when you go there the door is locked and when they do open it they don’t let you step foot in the office. Insane. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!
This place has gotten worse from day 1. I lived here since 2018 and they’re on their 4th property manager. Roaches everywhere outside and inside and I definitely no longer see the pest control that we pay for. Way understaffed especially for old buildings. Leasing office seems to like having to close for an inconvenience. I’ve had like 10-15 leaks in the roof that took over a year to finally get fixed after being told about 3 different stories from 3 different people about the roofing company. The grass looks dead, buildings are dirty and haven’t been pressure washed in over 3 years. The windows are by far the worse, definitely not tempered. Their new prices are nowhere near the value you receive. Spend your money elsewhere
I do not ever leave reviews but I feel it’s necessary as I wish I’d have known this prior to moving in. If you ever need maintenance in these apartments, it isn’t going to happen. I’ve lived here a month and every maintenance issue that’s come up there’s been almost ten so far, nothing gets done about it. Between coming into the office, calling, and e-mailing constantly; nothing has been done. Besides that lol, great people and area. Even the office people are kind.
Lived here two years since the housing market has been so volatile. Apartments aren’t in the best condition and now we have new management taking over and I can even get an air filter or a light changed lights they have to provide I can’t change them due to the type of light it is. Yet the rent is surely raised to match inflation on time every year, they also have reserved parking that anyone can pick the spot they want and people have broke down cars and the like all over. Constant issues with being overcharged for fees and rent that we have to dispute, dumpsters being all types of insect and rodent problems to adjacent apartments and luckily I avoid those issues because of how often I clean, the gym equipment is in tatters and half the time things are broken in it and constant accidents because of bad drivers. It makes no sense how this place is managed but needless to say I won’t be here much longer I literally had no choice when both houses me and the family attempted to move into couldn’t match our timeline…so yourself a favor and find another complex the better thing about this place is the location, a nice playground area for kids, dog park even though I have no dog, and thats even those are debatable. I’ll add photos later but the dumpster situation is crazy.
Sherita in leasing was very accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure we got the best deal we could on our lease. I feel taken care of and very grateful for the pleasant service. Prices are good but as a result you won’t be getting a super nice new apt with prompt maintenance
This place has been out of hot water for almost a week now and we see that it’s leaking water because it’s coming through the ceiling!! We keep calling the office and the emergency services and there’s been no resolution in the matter. They won’t even give an update! Then they have the nerve to keep raising the rent when we have ROACHES AS NEIGHBORS! This place is INFESTED with them! The plumbing system: SHOT. Don’t try to take a shower if the folks upstairs are doing so. You’ll be playing a game of hot/cold your whole shower. And of course the folks in the office don’t care because they don’t live here and have to deal! Trying to be patient but quite frankly this is the worst bit of customer service and we are at the breaking point! If you’re thinking about this place: DON’T DO IT.
This place is the absolute worst. The management here is very unprofessional and terrible. The day we moved into the apartment, no one was at the leasing office to provide keys. I did a walk around and found multiple discrepancies. There was a plastic bag to keep my sink from dripping. There were deep scratch marks in my storage. A few days after moving in there were an insane amount of roaches/water bugs. I called the office more than three times to find a solution and it took a week for someone to come and spray the house. I decided to cut my lease short because I was moving into a home. The leasing office told me I didn’t have to pay the remaining of my balance until I had the money to pay them. Do not move here unless you want bugs crawling on you in your sleep. Save your money.
Sharing an update from my previous review: Do not come here. The management and maintenance team simply can't keep it together with their company transition and there is almost never anyone available. Whether their excuse is that their staff is sick or there is only one maintenance member, there is NEVER anyone there to help us in a timely manner. Also their phone system isn't even updated so good luck getting ahold of them. And to add more salt to the wound, I have complained in their other social media and they had the absolute GALL to delete my negative reviews and comments. All because they won't ever own up to their mistakes. You're the WORST.
The staff are friendly and helpful, always happy to answer questions, and always greet people with smiles. There are many ways to contact the office - visit, phone, email, or through the web portal set up to allow tenants to ask questions, make payments, schedule maintenance, request to have packages held, etc. There are events on Friday nights, like a Child ID event in kid September. The complex is large, with a good number of tenants, yet somehow it never feels crowded. The grounds are kept tidy and people clean up after their pets, due in part to a number of pet stations scattered throughout the grassy areas. The dog park is fairly large, with several pieces of agility equipment that is always available. A small park is located next to the pool and grilling area, and the fitness center is connected to the pool. Maintenance is always working, buzzing about the complex on their golf carts, and they always seem to greet tenants with a smile, whether they're making a service call or just passing by during the day. When they need to come inside, they're respectful and efficient, and even wear covers over their shoes to keep the floors clean. Woodshire is truly a lovely place to live, the apartments are spacious and bright, and when I moved in, there was brand new carpet and all new appliances. My only minor complaint is that sometimes maintenance takes a bit to see to a service call, but again it's a large complex.
