Woodson YMCA Camp Sturtevant

My only hope is that this camp has changed over the years. I was forced to go here for about five years straight. I absolutely hated it. I was subjected to bullying and emotional abuse, to which the counselors turned a blind eye to. (And on several occasions, egged the perpetrators on.) The majority of my time here was spent aimlessly wandering and trying to find things to do, as they never had any planned activities or events. In five years, I only was able to use the canoes once, and went on one trip with the leadership group. Counselors acted inappropriately with each other in view of campers. No running bathrooms. Place was never cleaned and was absolutely filthy. Added one star because at least it was outside in the fresh air.

I went to that camp for 11 years and it was the best time of my life, I even volunteered as a junior counselor. Then onday the camp director said a counselor said I was doin some stuff I wasn't and told me to not come back with no investigation or anything. I wish the director actually had a brain.
