I have been going to this restaurant for so many years. The food is always fresh, delicious and consistent. The service is great. Last week we had a party of 19 adults and 5 children. Shiva and the other wait staff went out of their way to make our gathering memorable. I highly recommend it. We ordered all sorts of dishes, but my favorite is the juicy koobida and the Kishk badenjan,
Went there the first time on Saturday for lunch. We were the only customers who were dining there. I noticed that they had many takeouts on the table, waiting to be picked up. It was a good sign. Had their Kabob for two. It was so delicious. One of the best Persian restaurants in the Bay Area. I gave 4 stars because the service was ok. Needs to be improved.
Persian style restaurant. The two of us order a humus and a chicken/lamb combo. And we could barely finish, so portion is decent. The food is taste and flavorful. The service is on the spot. The cost is about 70.
I have been going to this place for 15 years plus and the food remains the same however the price has changed quite a bit! We always order the YAS special - chicken and beef kabobs - can’t go wrong with this dish since you are getting chicken and beef for $28.50! Service is always great and I love seeing the same people there all these years! It’s our spot whenever we have a reunion! Give it a try if you are on the area!
Amazing , authentic , delicious , lip-smacking food is all they got to serve!! To satisfy your Persian cuisine hunger pangs, look no further than Yas restaurant. The level of spices, quality of the meat , rice , bread etc is just perfect. Fresh ingredients , cooked to precision with amazing end result makes their dishes just perfect. For our order, we got a couple of dishes. Kashk-O-Bademjan and Zereshk Polo with Steamed chicken. The dishes were cooked to precision and tasted amazing. Better than most of the restaurants around and definitely we would be wanting to go back there as soon as the opportunity presents itself and untill then to go orders would do : Second review for our in person visit: Easy to make choice when it comes to addressing our craving for some great Persian food. Drove there and was able to find parking in the lot next to the restaurant. Settled in and we placed our order right away as we were hungry and ready to devour :. We started with Kashk e Bademjan as well had Mast o muser along with it. The former being a dish made from eggplant absolutely amazing while the latter being a yogurt dip made with Persian shallots finger-licking good. The host asked and I did comply by having a cup of tea along with the food. We did order the Khoresht - e Fesenjan stew made with walnuts and pomegranate as well though it came along with the main course. Along with that we ordered a juicy and very nicely cooked Soltani kabob and as well Joojeh Kabab boneless where each of these come along with saffron rice and a grilled tomato. Juicy kabobs were an absolute delight to eat and relish. Ate to our hearts content and did end up packing.l the remaining stew as a to go with us as we didn’t want to leave anything that delicious and served with so much care and love by the hosts. We ended the dinner with a cup of Bastani saffron Persian ice cream and left no traces behind in the bowl that amazingly good that it was served in : Awesome food , great hosts , nice ambience which means an absolutely absolute recommendation. Please do pay them a visit and enjoy the meals to your heart’s content. Amazing experience indeed!!!
Came in and asked for the chef to make what he recommended. Wonderfully seasoned bed of long grain rice, grilled chicken, onion quarters, whole tomato, and beef kabob with flat bread. They shared wonderful conversation, tea, and dates while I waited. Yas, would recommend ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽Food: 5/5
Amazingly good food! My wife and I came in over the weekend on a lark, and we were completely blown away by everything we ordered. Ash Reshte is now one of my favorite soups. The Shirin Polo with Steamed Chicken was absolutely fantastic; my grandmother used to make a similar Turkish version of the dish God rest her soul with some Sephardic embellishments. : I highly recommend Yas to anyone who loves Persian food. It’s one of my favorite types of cuisine on the planet.
Not impressed at all !!! A Complete Rip-off!! So expensive for so little food!!! We ordered Chicken and Vegetables, Chicken Skewer, Shirin Polo with Steamed Chicken, Hummus. Hummus was just a thin layer in a plate for $11+!!! Chicken Skewers were good but too little quantity for such a high price! Steamed chicken was just a bland chicken in a tomato sauce. Rice was a bit different. Bastani ice cream was just a pistachio ice cream and Faloodeh was a like a tart sorbet which was just sour with hard noodle pieces in it. They charged 18% gratuity on their own and included 2 little kids as adults. Never again!
We just picked up two order off kebab one extra skewers of kebab they charged us over $75 and we asked them for extra butter they are being very buttery and cheap and unprofessional charging extra on one side of the story not willing to serve your customers with the extra butter every time we don't want to go there because every time we have a new experience of unprofessional customer service it's all about money in this business all about money. Also we asked him for extra cook but they burn our food this was our last experience in Yass
Ordered through DoorDash and didn’t receive half my order. I called the restaurant to let them know and all I got was a rude response telling me it was door dashes fault. Then she proceeded to tell me they didn’t even receive an order and I was calling the wrong restaurant. Is this place Yas, yes! I received everything else…..don’t claim that you haven’t received an order when clearly you have. All you have to do is apologize, say you will tell the staff and hope I’ll be back. Instead, I got arguments and blamed DoorDash for not packing the order correctly and then blamed me personally. Sorry lady, I wasn’t the one in the kitchen packing dinner.
