Favorite gyro wrap in town. Love the gyro meat and the hot sauce to compliment the flavors. Regular customer for the gyro value meal. If you want spicy, just ask for extra hot sauce on the side.
Literally been coming here for 15 years now. I haven't gone more than a month at a time without ordering takeout from here. Cant beat the price for the freshness that you get.
This cafe serves up good middle eastern fare. I can't say they serve the best gyros I've ever tasted, but they're flavorful and the portion size is larger than some other places I've been. There's a decent number of tables for dining at the cafe. They also do takeout. They serve Coca-Cola branded soft drinks. A lunch special with gyro, fries and a soda runs about $12, tax included.
Anyone who would rate this place well doesn't know how Greek food should taste. Went in early when the place was completely empty and ordered a $5 gyro which came completely cold. When I complained, they did remake it right away but the replacement was barely warm. The gyro meat had a weird flavor, more like corned beef than gyro. Tzatziki sauce was flavorless, and baklava was soggy and tasted old. All in all not worth it!
Tasty food and quick service at a reasonable price in a hole-in-the-wall casual setting in a strip mall. This is not gourmet, but it is convenient and good. Their lunch combos are a reasonable size for the price. Their pita is mass-produced commercial stuff and they are serving Kronos gyros meat which is fine, but they also offer a reasonable selection of house-made a la carte items. Parking is easy, which is a bonus downtown. Their meat is halal for those who care about that and they have a decent selection of vegetarian options for those who care about that.
I stopped here after Google searching gyros meat me. I ordered a gyros wrap, spicy. At first I was wary as I am used to having gyros meat cut off the spindle. This meat was precut. I was worried it would be dry. However, this ranked as one of the tastiest gyros I have ever had, and I have have hundreds. I have now been twice and both times were equivalently great.
In looking for a vegetarian option for lunch I found this cafe and was delighted with the meal. It was not real busy and that is sad for a place that had such a tasty offering. For $12 I had the rice, the peas and potatoes dish, falafel balls, and a dinner salad. I look forward to being in that part of town again to go back. The falafel balls were just a bit on the dry side for me, but everything else was great.
All around -- supreme experience! I was astounded by the service speed given a busting lunch hour, and the food was even better / notably fresh. Owner is very friendly and genuinely cares about his customer's satisfaction. Definitely will be seeing me again. A++
Ended up here on Saturday late afternoon before heading to the Concert in SAP originally everything in the same plaza are closed so it leave up b No choice but I love Greek so I don't think it was a problem. The food doesn't taste quite like any Greek we have ever had Gyro plate and chicken curry plate we ordered came with salad and soft drink the basmati rice has distinctively old smell. Curry was OK. Hummus was bland we also had espresso and Knafe that soggy and old. Price was great but probably not recommended to anyone.
Yes, Owner is very nice. All that aside, What happened?? Your food used to be excellent! Expensive but worth it. Now, your falafels are so hard and tasteless I always fear I will break a tooth. You used to have the BEST dressing and now it is blah. Today I went there, hadn't been there since the last time I swore I was done. You guys got worse. I asked for extra pepperonis to help, it was best part. There was so little produce in your stale pita I felt ripped off. It used to be so good, filled with fresh lettuce and cucumbers and feta...now they don't even come with feta!!!!!! Go to Falafel Drive on W San Carlos near Valley Fair. 40+ years of good Greek food. Never disappoints. The old man would be disappointed in what you have done to his legacy. YUK not worth one star!
