Zooroona Restaurant

Many strip mall restaurants put in a bit of effort to help feel like you're not in a strip mall. Zooroona succeeds to the point that you may even forget what city you're in. The atmosphere is pleasantly ornate without being weird or overbearing. The service is similarly pleasant and attentive—again: without being overbearing. And the food—OMG—the food is beyond amazing. My general rule of thumb for judging the food in a restaurant is to ask myself if I could readily prepare as good or better versions of the same dishes. I don't frequent restaurants to which I can answer yes to that question. That's not because those restaurants aren't good, but I am a good home cook so when I go out I really want something special. I'd also rather not have to spend half my paycheck for the privilege of such a meal. Zooroona serves delicious, creative, fresh-tasting food at very reasonable prices. The flavors are unusual, so if you aren't an adventurous eater you might not enjoy the experience. I think it's wonderful, and I would recommend it to almost anyone.

My absolute favorite spot in Kalamazoo! The food speaks volumes and is by far the best I have had around. The atmosphere is amazing. I love the way it just draws you in with the culture. Another note, The owner and the staff have always been so welcoming!

Excellent food, ambiance and service. Great place to stop by if you are driving on 94. The food is excellent but weekends can get busy so make sure you make a reservation. The Turkish coffee along with fresh Bakhlawa made it a delightful meal. They serve full halal menu.

Great place for Mediterranean food in the area. Pretty tasty. Decent place and the service is quick.

Staff were more than accommodating...from the reservations....found us the perfect seat with a view of for the entertainment...to the hostess who greeted us upon arrival...to our waitress who was polite answered any questions...made the whole experience over the top
