Corner cafe is a hidden gem! The food here is simply divine, with their special chicken dish being an absolute standout. The flavors are mouthwatering and delicious. I can't forget to mention their avocado juice, which is incredibly refreshing and a perfect accompaniment to the meal. From start to finish, my dining experience at Cron Caff was fantastic. The service was exceptional, and the ambiance added to the overall pleasure. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delightful meal. Make sure to try their special chicken dish and don't miss out on the avocado juice – they are both incredibly yummy! Thank you, Cron Caff, for an unforgettable dining experience!
Made a reservation for a larger group on a Sunday morning. Told them we had multiple kids and they seated us where there was the cushion sofa great for kids to kinda unleash without disrupting other guests. They weren’t packed but was busy enough. Took our order promptly, was polite, and didn’t have any issues when asked to separate our bill some people do it under their breath, but they didn’t, so that was appreciated. Overall, food was great. Came hot, everything was seasoned well, and food presentation was not bad. - Chicken and waffles: chicken was tender and crispy, salad had a dressing with nice acidity. - Piggy Eggs Benedict: great job on the eggs. Could’ve used a bit more meat. Wasn’t a lot of pork and slices were quite thin. Noticed they had wifi for people to work, and also board games. Bathrooms were clean, but don’t have diaper change table for baby. Sitting time limit on weekends during busy hours is 1 hour. If you pay cash, there’s 10% off. Price is reasonable. Parking was alright but that plaza can get quite busy. Heads up there are extra parking spots in the back.
For starters, the food is great. Service was prompt, and the food arrived quickly. I'd definitely recommend the chicken and waffles. The smoothies are amazing as well. A real fun place if you're coming along with friends for a meal. You can enjoy your meal while playing board games. Overall, I definitely recommend this cafe for a weekend brunch. Parking: Parking depends on the day and time of the day but generally you will find parking although not too close to the restaurant.
Decent cafe with a full array of menu items that is situated directly across from Markham's Markville Mall at McCowan and Highway 7 East. Came here for lunch, I was impressed by the variety of food and drink options listed on the menu. There is all-day breakfast, rice bowls, pastas and snacks. Beef bowl sauce was very good. Pasta portions are huge. Meatballs in the meatball pasta were kind of salty. Pancakes are made fresh to order as the server mentioned the 30 mins prep time when ordering. Pancake portions are big, a bit chewy instead of fluffy texture. The average plate is less than $20, so there are no complaints there. Hot drinks were alright but nothing special. There was only one server during the weekday lunch service. She worked diligently and managed all the tables accordingly. Decor is contemporary, but nothing extraordinary. Place was spotless, the typical sticky syrup and ketchup bottles were actually very clean. Parking: Parking spaces maybe limited during weekday lunch hour. Wheelchair accessibility: Not a wheelchair accessible store as there's a step up at the entrance.
Friendly staff and delicious food, place is busy for a reason! Portion and quality is about the same as other cafés, but the place is much more spacious than its competitors. On a busy day, they really follow through with the 1 hour seating limit. I wasn't aware of the time limit until a staff approached my table and kindly advised me I had 20 mins left. I totally respect that, people were waiting and my family were given an hour to enjoy our meals. I've had better Meatball and pasta elsewhere, but the Chicken and Waffles and Salmon Benny were good. Their Vietnamese latte was a good pick-me-up. Will come back again for my caffeine cravings.
A nice little cafe that also has a decent assortment of board games on hand if you so choose. We came for breakfast and overall our experience was quite pleasant. Food was good and we didn’t have to wait long. Chicken and waffles were amazing so that is something you should try if you haven’t. My only disappointment was the drinks. I ordered an ice coffee, when I went to ask for more liquid syrup I was told by the waitress that they only had sugar available. Sugar won’t dissolve properly in a cold drink. Pretty much ruined it for me. Otherwise if you’re looking for a place with decent food this is the place.
Food is pretty good but for the price I'd go to other brunch restaurants. $19 for the Chicken and Waffles, and $17 for the Salmon Egg Benny is a lot and most of the other food has gone up in price as well. Service is good as the waitresses are friendly and helpful, although there is usually a wait at busy times. Atmosphere is good.Food: 4/5
Friend recommends this cafe for lunch and we have some good expectations on the food quality and coffee. We order 1 chicken and waffle 2 mushroom pasta and 3 latte. Chicken and waffle: 3 pieces fried chicken, they look big but in fact the coating batter is very thick. I consider the coating is hard instead of crunchy. Sauce not special. 4 pieces waffles, portion is big and taste just okay. This dish is pricey $19!!!, not worth the money, good to try but probably will not encore. Mushroom pasta: the presentation is a bit disappointed. You can tell that the spaghetti is over cooked just by looking at it and of course no al dente. Both the spinach sauce and mushrooms do not add good taste to the dish. Not recommend! Latte: portion fairly big, coffee taste not strong at all, no aroma no aftertaste, but happy to see the latte art. The shop is nice and good looking. It is a good place to hangout but don’t expect too much on coffee and food. *Please note that you can make table reservations for party of 5 or more.
I recently visited A Corner Cafe for brunch with my girlfriend at 11am. The food was great - she ordered the chicken and waffles while I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict. Out of the two dishes, I would highly recommend the chicken and waffles. The decoration of the cafe was also quite cute and cozy. However, it did get quite busy during lunch time, so it's best to arrive early or be prepared for a possible wait. Overall, A Corner Cafe is definitely worth checking out for a delicious brunch experience
A really cute cafe, with good portions and great food! I got the tofu bowl, and it was really good! I had a great medley of different flavours that all mixed well together. It gets really crowded, so see if you can go earlier if possible so that you're not left waiting for a table.
