Abbey glen truly was the best I could have asked for when my beloved dog, Thor, passed away. They provided the absolute best after care I could have asked for and I know that he was handled with as much love, care, and compassion as he was when he was still with me. Extra props to the manager Sarah for making sure all of our needs were meant and that we received exactly what we wanted to commemorate our best friend! Losing a pet is never easy but abbey glen truly went above and beyond! It made the situation so much more bearable knowing that we had them in our corner and I cannot recommend them highly enough!
Abby Glen did a fantastic job on presenting the ashes of our beloved boxer Roxi. The box is beautiful along with her paw print, some of her fur and a cremation certificate. The urn came in a beautiful velvet bag and so did her paw print. I did not know what to expect and we are extremely pleased how they honored our Roxi. Thank you!
My Sharlee passed away 2 years ago and my vet stated they used Abby Glen. I received her urn a week later and My Sharlee is back where she belongs. The details of everything offered was amazing.
The experience of losing a pet can be a very emotional event. Deciding how to preserve what remains of memories is even more difficult. I decide to go with my Vet's recommendation of using their provider, Abbey Glen for my Apollo. When Apollo was returned, the urn that they provided was horrible! Wood is ugly & unstainable! Looking at recent reviews, they are mostly 1 star. Prior to this year, reviews were outstanding! After a call to Abbey, an associate told me that they had a business change in past year which possibly, coincides with the horrible recent reviews on many aspects of their services. I forwarded this information to my Vet! 1st pic is an older Abby Glen urn. 2nd is recent.
My beloved Sweetie passed away peacefully at home this past February just shy of her 17th birthday. I took her to my Vet to arrange for her cremation. I signed the Abbey Glen Authorization Release Form which clearly indicated my request for a private cremation. When five weeks had passed and I had not received her ashes, I called Abbey Glen and was devastated to hear that she had been given a Group Cremation. They blamed it on the Vet. I contacted my Vet's office and when they followed up with Abbey Glen they were told that it was their driver's error, citing his inexperience and Pandemic related issues in finding qualified drivers. My Vet apologized and refunded my money. I sent an email to Abbey Glen to express my distress that this had happened and to get some assurance that they would take measures to assure that this would not happen again to some unsuspecting pet owner. They never replied. They never apologized. I would give them zero stars in this review were it possible, but it won't post unless I select at least one. It is my hope that in reading this and other similar negative reviews of Abbey Glen, no pet owner in future will fall victim to their callous ineptitude. There is no excuse for their failures, Pandemic or not. They are handling the last remains of cherished family members. They have an inherent obligation to guarantee that their client's requests are carried out correctly and faithfully. Nothing less is acceptable. Theirs is not a pizza delivery service. There is no room for error!
We received our dog's ashes today, and I need to say we are very disgusted. They returned to us a cheap plain wooden box and charged us $380. In the past we have received much nicer, painted wooden urns from this business. I don't know if they're trying to save money or what. Our dog deserves much better than this..
This place is so pathetic. Can’t go on any of their websites, can’t get in touch with anyone to order the offerings for the pets. It is so upsetting that I am sending my cat for a cremation and the company can’t even answer phone calls. This just shows how much they care about animals. They truly don’t.
There was a time I'd have given 5 stars and an amazing review. However things have drastically changed over the past few months. The clinic I work at has been doing business with Abbey Glen for a few years with no issues until recently. There have been numerous mistakes made since May but this past week was the most unforgivable one yet when they mixed up a 70lb dog with an 11 lb dog, the bigger one was for group cremation and the smaller one was private. We cannot even begin to understand how this mistake was made given the size difference of the 2 dogs. There is absolutely no way to fix this. You can offer all the apologies and refunds you want but it can never fix this mistake. There is absolutely NO room for errors in that line of business. Whoever owns this crematorium should honestly replace every single person who had a hand in this....from the driver mixing up the tags to the person doing the cremations to the person managing it all. Everyone at this location played a part in this and I do wonder if they ever had to say goodbye to their beloved pet and go through this. I hope no one ever has to face this kind of heartache because there are no words.
When our beloved dog Rusty died we were looking for a place to take him to get cremated. The staff at Abbey Glen were absolutely amazing and made us feel like they would treat him with the love and respect of family. Thank you for the beautiful paw print keepsake box, urn and poem. It's never easy to go through this but they made the transition as memorable and positive as possible. We highly recommend them and we very happy with their service.
Abbey Glen has always done an amazing job. I've delivered 5 of my Furbabies to them over the years. Last April, Dr. Amy came to our home and did an amazing job of helping our family say goodbye to Ruby, our 12 year old Pitbul who was suffering with cancer. The staff on the phone, when I called to make the appointment, were very patient as it was a difficult call and my emotions and thoughts were all over. Dr. Amy -- AN ANGEL!!!! Our family laid with Ruby as she peacefully closed her eyes, had one last dream narrarated by Dr Amy, until she took her final breath. I have no words, but I thanked God for Dr. Amy! She even followed up with us through email and even gave us info on how to deal with the living pets' grief over Ruby. Then I lost my Pepper a few days before Christmas 2021. He died at home, seizure. I loved all my animals, but not like Pepper. He stole my heart the minute we locked eyes, It's difficult for me to write this even now. Pepper dealt with seizures and hospital er visits and vets his whole 7 year little life. I will never get over his loss. I was honored to be his mommy and ao very blessed to have that lovable little creature in my life.. He was always a good boy! I didn't deserve him! I've taken Dr. Amy up on a grief group she told us about with Ruby. I was gonna need it with Pepper, my Pooh Bear What I want to say about that experience is regarding Samantha. I escorted Pepper to Abby Glen myself as I could not bear to leave him at the get for pick up and drop off. I love him so much it was unbearable to part. I ran into a technical issue when I got there that would require me to leave and come back after the weekend. It would have been devastating for me. I was a hot mess! Samantha took care of it and prevented me from enduring anymore pain regarding Pepper, and I will forever be grateful to her for that. Abbey Glen takes the worry and fear out of putting your four legged bestie to rest.
