In 2009, Absolute Machine Tools acquired AccuteX EDM. AccuteX EDM was so successful that in 2011 the company purchased a 41,000 square foot facility opening a wire EDM technical center that includes its own research and development department. This facility is located on Innovation Drive in Mason, Ohio, next to FANUC America and Makino. AccuteX Wire EDMs are not new to the industry. They have been successfully installed in hundreds of shops across the United States for over 15 years prior. AccuteX EDM offers a complete line of Wire EDM equipment such as CNC Wire EDM, Manual Wire EDM, Die Sinker EDM, and Small Hole EDM Drillers. In February, 2011, Absolute added a 3rd facility in Livonia, Michigan, to service the State of Michigan and Windsor, Ontario, Canada’s ever growing mold and die industry.
After a long history of success with its satellite offices and diverse product lines, Absolute purchased a 4th facility in Elgin, Illinois to directly serve its previously established customer base in the region. This new 28,000 square foot facility serves manufacturers in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin and has machines on display ready to cut metal and demonstrate their capabilities.
