The staff was super nice and knowledgeable. They helped me get set up to try out a couple basses and then when a small piece of the used bass was damaged, they knocked off some price and showed me where I can purchase a replacement piece online. I really enjoyed my experience here, especially after a bad one at Guitar Center.
I love guitars. I love visiting awesome shops that have amazing inventory and amazing staff that are excited to be in that environment. Action did not disappoint today. Hands down the best inventory of Huss & Dalton, Collings, and vintage Martin. They even spur of the moment fit me in and made a quick truss rod adjustment while I waited. Totally unbelievable. I am a small business owner myself and only hope these guys know how awesome they are! Thanks for an amazing visit, truly a 6star experience! We traveled from Annapolis just to see their shop and will be back 100%.
Amazing local guitar/music store! Matt the owner fixed my amp on the spot. He figured out I had one bad tube and replaced it within 10 min. Never had such responsive and friendly service anywhere! What a gem this place is. Mainly for the gear, but the staff obviously make the experience worth the trip!!
I don't write reviews often, but these guys were so great. I've recently started getting into vintage Marshall's Super Leads, etc.. Matt couldn't have been a better help and was such a genuine person. I ended up interested in a '69 Super PA that had a killer sound but didn't know what to look for on these old beasts. Matt took the time to open up the amp, pinpoint all of the modifications that had been done, and taught me so much along the way where he had no obligation to. He was honest in his assessment and now has a new customer. I ended up buying the amp and absolutely love it. The rest of the staff were super cool, personable, and helpful as well. Definitely check Action Music out!!
I love this store. Matt, Mike, and the rest of the staff are excellent. Very knowledgeable and patient. Their prices and inventory are awesome and they’ll let you pick up any guitar and try it out. Over the years Matt has worked on a number of my basses Fender jazz, and several finicky vintage ricks and has done remarkable work. Can’t recommend enough. Screw the big guys, go to Action Music!
I was interested in buying a guitar and am a beginner, a friend recommended Action Music. I went on a weekday evening as I was told weekends can get pretty busy. I was helped by Guy, who was absolutely awesome. Super patient and knowledgable, he asked me about what I was looking for and what style I wanted to play. I ended up trying 5 different guitars with absolutely no pressure to buy. The selection of gorgeous guitars is fantastic. I walked out with one of them and couldn't be happier. Great experience all around.
Action is a great store. I recently bought a guitar from these guys and it was a wonderful experience. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Their inventory is pretty fantastic too. It is a far cry from the boring big box music stores we see all too often. I’d recommend going in there if you need anything at all, even just to shoot the breeze with a fellow guitar gear addict.
If this store was in New Jersey, I would be here every day. Absolutely floored by the amount of rare and vintage amps and guitars they have inside. Almost as soon as my friend and I walked in, Mike gave us a tour and showed us many of the storied and unique pieces in their acoustic room. After that, he directed into their "loud room." This room is a Marshall amp fans dream. Many amps in the room are ones I've only ever heard about. To be able to see and feel amps with such history was magical. Matt the owner was also extremely generous with both his time and knowledge. Even after my endless questions regarding vintage gear he took the time to answer every one, and even helped me look up pictures for references. And even though I did eventually end up buying a vintage Flying V, they were super accommodating when I was just browsing. This store absolutely gets the highest recommendation I can give. Worth the trip from anywhere, and I for sure will be back.
Just bought a guitar this afternoon - very excited to have strings back in my life after so many years. The owner, Matt was in. Gave me a good education on acoustics so I could make an informed decision whether I bought from them or not. They have a great range of guitars, and shopping there was pressure free. They sincerely just want you to find the right instrument. Worked out great - sold on the guitar, and sold on the guitar shop! The team there was great - recommend to anyone - including newbies or return-ees!
They really did their best to look out for me and my guitars whenever I dropped them off to be serviced, staff also goes out of their way to cater to your personal needs and interests
