I was very impressed with Questions Studios. The sound engineer was really good to work with. What they are able to do is just fantastic. It's not the most star stuck building nor are the spaces extraordinary. What sells the studio are the capability of the space as well as of the engineers. Mixing and mastering are a plus for any song that is ready for prime time and at Que they know exactly what it takes to make that happen. They are capable of taking your ideas and bringing them out in a way that it's hard to imagine. If you plan on releasing a project bring it to Que and let them put their stamp on it.
I have recorded three albums at Cue Recording Studio’s. As soon as you walk in the building, you feel quality, but in dealing with Dusty the manager. After he gives you a tour of the facility, and you will feel like you are supposed to be here. Every time we recorded at Cue, after the session was completely done, and everything was mixed. Some point later that week Dusty would check in with you to make sure that you were happy with the results. And I have never found a studio that better represented our sound. When you play a show and the fan says you guys sound exactly like your record except way better live. That is the best compliment you can ever get. And it’s the band but it’s also the vinyl or the CD and the sounds that were captured and then with our producer, speaking and special language with the engineer at Cue. Knobs get turned and you sit in and listen to everything. And so many hours later, it’s done. Q has the best equipment needed to get the job done, and they have consistently been from what people told me the best studio in the DC area. But it was only with the last band that we decided to start there with each subsequent recording to us it sounded better. And we would go back and compare and it really had to do with what guitar cabinet you were using or what guitar. And every guitar player is never satisfied with their guitar sound. But it doesn’t matter how good of a guitar player you are and what guitar you’re using or amp. If the studio can’t capture the sound that you hear then it’s not doing its job. First off the record sounds Killer, and my guitar sound always came out better than I could’ve expected. Then you have the great customer service, following up and making sure that everything went smoothly while you were there. There are not enough superlatives. I can give this place. I highly recommend you come and take a look at the studio. You will leave here very impressed.
Always an awesome time. The staff are very friendly. They explain things and help you to be at ease during the sessions . Not to mention, they have produced platinum, gold, and silver tracks for major artists!
Fantastic staff, amazing space, impeccable vibes. 10/10 recommend.
I went to Cue Recording on 5/4/21 to record a track for a Children’s album that I had been hired for. The engineer Tyler did such a great job of professionaly, efficiently, relaxedly and good naturedly making the track shine, implementing my ideas and helping me fix issues. Great experience, great value, excellent results. Highly recommend!
As a free-lance audio engineer, I usually do my rhythm section recording at Cue. Flexible and powerful headphone system, good sounding piano, spacious control room, and a helpful staff. Fabulous collection of mics and mic pre's. Did a session there on 2/23/22, sounded great.
Totally Amazing!! Great facility to record with the best engineering ever!!!!
One of my favorite places to record. I love working with Ken Schubert; he's an awesome Music Engineer. He always bring out the best in me; love his energy! Special shout out to his assistant Dusty.
