Great place to buy your materials!! Pete is an awesome guy and very friendly!!!
I tried buying from them for the first time. It was not a good experience and I ended up going to another supplier. This company uses a check processing service that refused to "ensure" my business check. The amount was equal to 2% of the balance in my account. The representative from Adams Oldcastle instructed me to call the service to find out why. The representative of the check processing service business told me there was no reason given, just that they wouldn't ensure it. He said I could email an appeal to their corporate office. I contacted Adams Oldcastle again and suggested that just take it to the bank and cash it. The representative told me they don't do that. You can't drive to your bank and deposit the check? Or drive to another local bank to cash it? David, the in-house rep for Adams Oldcastle, seems like a nice guy, but he didn't have an answer for anything. My experience tells me that either this company is under poor general management at the current time, or that they are otherwise experiencing a lot of problems.
I went to Adams earlier to get 6 brick and I was treated as if I had purchased a truckload. Excellent attitudes and the best of customer service! The gentleman that loaded all 6 had a perfect attitude as well.
The staff is awesome and always goes the extra mile. They are knowledgeable, efficient, and communicate extremely well regarding order status, availability, etc. Highly recommend David and his team.
Only place in the area to get certain concrete products. It's a little out of the way for people in Wilmington but really it's only a few miles North of Wilmington and within sight of the i-40 castle hayne exit
