This morning at 7:30am the driver of bus #115 stopped their bus in the entrance/fire lane of the Summit Plaza. This blocked the actual roadway forcing traffic to back up and go around. This same driver then left the bus running with the door open and walked into the dunkin. The bus sat there open, running and unmanned for more than five minutes forcing traffic to maneuver around i creating a very unsafe situation.
i’m not sure what the emergency is but their driver said be more careful on the road and not drive so aggressively. I can only imagine how they drive when the bus is full of kids. Bus 49 was speeding through the construction zone on southbound 95 tailgating myself and every car they got behind. This driver was weaving in and out of lanes, aggressively beeping at other drivers while on the phone. I understand they may be heading back to the yard but out of all the cars on the road they should be the example and safety instead, she was driving extremely aggressive and had many near misses. I understand if there’s a shortage of drivers, but the qualifying process Hass to be more thorough than that! If bus 49 is driving that way I can only imagine how she drives with people’s kids on board there’s absolutely no reason to be disregarding safety in a school bus, especially during bad weather. It’s October 3, 2022 about 4:40 PM do better!
Just the absolute worst drivers and communication. I hope Newark charter contracts with another company soon. The person running the company subs sometimes and speeds in neighborhoods, just flys by bus stops, and doesn't pay attention to anything around him.
I usually keep quite about these things but this company or should I say driver is thee worst. Bus#4 Bacon and Pennsylvania ave in New Castle. Bus is never on time. My daughter hates to ride because of the way the driver drives. He must have something going on or likes one of the students mother because she never missed the bus. He has her number and vise verasa so they communicate with each other. For instance, yesterday we wait at the stop.for half an hour No bus. Find out the driver overslept so 1 hr wait. Me and another parent come back at 7:03 only to find out the driver came at 645. But guess who did not miss the bus. Same student whose mom has the drivers number. My daughter had to miss a day because the school is in Dover and I had to go to work. I have soo much more to add but not enough time or space. I wish I could rate negative numbers.
During my time at Advanced, I found most of the drivers to be just fine. They really seemed to care about the kids. Now the 2 offices in New Castle County they have a bit of a rivalry and things take time to get done. They send Mixed messages at times. No dirty buses or Speeding drivers that I saw. Buses were kept clean, trash was removed daily and the drivers whose routes are in my neighborhood don't drive crazy.
This company doesn't even deserve 1 star! In reading the reviews I wonder how it has remained in business thus far. My children attend and have attended charter school for the past 15+ years and unfortunately I have had to take my children to school most of that time due to the ridiculousness that I have experienced with Advanced Student Transportation. Per the school's principal this is the only bus company that can accommodate the school's requirements which is why they remain contracted. Lucky for me this is the last month I will have to deal with it. The office staff is RUDE! They have no empathy for the children riding their buses or the parents who are concerned for their children sitting at the bus stop for extended periods of time. Ty/Tod who claims this is "his company" and that he is the "supervisor" needs to be trained on customer relations and dealing with the public as he is rude, condescending and incompetent. This month is the last month I will have to deal with this bus company and I will be forever grateful!
Horrible customer service, Horrible service!!!!! Poor work ethic on the drivers. Dispatch has deplorable care for the children who are waiting on there slow, delayed buses. No compassion for students.
I’ve never experienced a more inept bus service in all my life. If you’re reading reviews looking for a bus company to use , DO NOT EVEN consider these fools. The bus ranges from 15-120 minutes late , consistently, with no warning. Today they just drove right past my kids daily bus stop and I’ll have to assume it was a sub, but I don’t even care. This company is garbage and I hope they lose every speck of business.
On many occasions the bus does not show up leaving kids stranded at the bus stop. We have made several attempts to get a qualified driver to take over the bus route without success. Today, the bus did not show up at school to bring kids home. The bus company did not call to notify parents and when you call the office, you get yelled at as if we are our of line asking "where are our children?" Completely unreliable company that does not understand the value of the cargo they are responsible. Aweful, aweful and more aweful
This bus company is ridiculous. I called last week and again yesterday. . I was informed by the company that the managers were not in the office at the time of my call because they are out driving buses. HMMM.... Their bus, number 5, FLIES down my street everyday, twice a day at about 50mph. What is going to need to happen to get the manager to call me back, or to get the driver to slow down? I hope that it doesn't take a child or anyone getting hit.
