Keisha the phone scheduler was a one in a million! Having taught many years, I applaud employees who take their job seriously and go the extra mile to make the customer happy. She did all of that and so much more. As a teacher, of course I noticed how she spoke and she wowed me with every sentence using proper grammatical structure as well as perfect articulation! She would have received most definitely an A+ in my class! You are extremely fortunate to have this employee and if you have anything for positive reinforcement when someone goes over and beyond, she is truly deserving! She surely represents your company really well and as a new patient, I feel as though I made the right choice!
Lori is the BEST! I have have had 6 procedures since Feb 3rd this year and she has been there every step of the way going above and beyond! She is a God sent! Always making sure I'm taken care of and most important keeping her word! If she says she will take care of something and call you back then you can believe she will do just that! She is AMAZING! Even checking on me after my procedures!!! Its hard to find people like her let alone someone that is just dependable and kind!
Ms. Robin has been the most helpful resource throughout setting up my first ever surgery. Kind, informative and genuinely caring about the people visiting AUI. Awesome woman.
I absolutely recommend this urology group! Dr Jenkins was very patient and kind to my elderly mother. He answered all my questions and was very kind. Thank you so much Lori Castillo for all your help in getting her set up! You’re my hero! Front office and Nursing staff were fabulous. So nice to see people treating others in a professional and courteous way.
The new facility is beautiful! Their process is streamlined and efficient. Dr. Hitt has been thorough, detailed, precise and very professional. The staff have been warm, friendly & very helpful. And the surgery scheduler Robin is warm, kind, compassionate, caring and moved mountains to help me. If there is ever a need to see a Urologist I would recommend no other facility than this one.
My husband has been seeing a urologist at this practice since 1976--initially the founding doctor, Dr. McCormick. Since then, he has seen one doctor after the other for the past 50 years. Each doctor has provided excellent care. But when the practice became Advanced Urology, the standard of respect and care for the patients has become really sub-standard. My husband almost died from a septic infection. We called the practice on the way to the hospital in the ambulance. Seven days later, the call was returned. My husband was told he had to have a nuclear MRI type of test--and that what was determined by that test could be a matter of life and death, and that we MUST make an appointment to see the doctor within one week of the test. We did. When he arrived at the VERY IMPORTANT appointment, it had been cancelled, and he was not able to see a doctor for a month afterwards. This was the second appointment that had been cancelled without us knowing. It is impossible to speak with anyone, regardless how important the situation might be. Our complaint is not about these doctors, but about the dynamics of Advanced Urology. The standard of care and communication at this practice is appalling.
My family doctor sent in a referral in July for a growth on my remanning kidney. After 2 weeks with no response I called the referral desk and had to leave a message. After a week and still no response I called and again left a msg. I called the appointment desk and they were told they never received the doctors referral. I called my doctor and told them and they immediately faxed it again. It has been another 2 week and still no call to schedule the appt. I am seeing Dr Dean my nephrologist on Thursday for my 6 month visit and have him recommend a different urologist. BTW , Dr Hitt removed my right Kidney and I was pleased with him, but his new office staff is awful.
I went to AUI in February after being referred by my primary for an issue; the staff and doctor seemed okay and nice but felt a bit rushed and dismissive maybe they were just that busy, or maybe because I didn't have my insurance yet, paid out of pocket since it was another few weeks before my coverage went into effect. I returned again in March after my insurance had gone into effect to have a test done that was talked about quickly during my last visit, and then when I finally received a bill it wasn't addressed to me but to another family member, which made no sense, and then found out that while they are an in-network doctor, the lab was done out of network, so that was a surprise, and, fortunately, it wasn't too much, so I guess next time I need to find out if there are other options for lab work if I ever have to have any done again. Not the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor visit, but not the greatest either.
Always been great service since I started coming here. My doctor is awesome and has great bedside manners, the staff also has a great patient care.
