Airline Highway Park & Fairgrounds

I went to the Greater baton rouge state fair. We parked at Eaton building across the street. Parking was horrendous. The line to get in was long and not organized. Rides looked kinda scuff but no accidents it seems. It was cool walking around and seeing all the rides and games. Lots of balloon popping games.

mostly baseball fields and just open areas, but it’s a nice place to park and just talk a walk around the park they also have a few trails through the woods that is pretty interesting

Nice park but they need more actual playground type things. Nice place to shoot off some golf balls and usually they have sand and sand bags available for anyone to get - for free.

Clean and clear. Great acreage. Although the purpose for visiting this site was to fill sand bags to help individuals protect their homes from in coming / forecasted torrential rains. Even during my time here, I witnessed dog-friendly areas, an air-gun range, and more.

This place has lots of opportunities to offer for outdoor activities. Peopele comes here mainly for Cricket, Baseball, Softball. This park has one of the only two Cricket Grounds in Baton Rouge or only three in entire the Louisiana. It also has a big open space to bring dogs.

Went to the airgun range several times, sometimes during the week day sometimes weekends. To find the gate locked. Or to be chased away by "members" who threaten to call the cops if we don't leave. We asked about joining and were round about told that my .177 store bought gun wasn't sufficient and needed something in the thousand+ dollar range to tryout. And i'd need to shoot for so many consecutive weekends before competing. I can't do this with my current work schedule. I'm not interested in competing Look, I just want to sight in my scope for small game hunting. How is this allowed on BREC property?

Great for a simple day with your ! Room to run with no worries of people or traffic.

I look forward to the state fair every year. Brought my son this year and had the most horrible experience I’ve ever had there. The police really dropped the ball on having things organized. The line just to park was ridiculous and had ppl cutting in line instead of waiting like everyone else. You all know who you are. Once we got in the prices for the bracelet was ridiculous and every line for a ride took 30 to 40 mins. So my son got to ride 3 rides for a 30 dollar bracelet. Pitiful. So needless and sad to say I won’t be back next year
