The staff was super nice. The pastries are delicious. The passion fruit tart was outstanding. I have dreams about it, was so good. The lemon tart looks really good too. If you can’t find some thing you like here then you don’t like good food! Stay home Charlottesville’s premiere bakery.

What a quiche-tastic experience at Albemarle Baking Company! Ordered two heavenly quiches for a teacher appreciation breakfast, and they were pure perfection. The staff's super accommodating attitude was the cherry on top, and they even let me snag the order before the roosters were up! Huge kudos to the team for their kindness and unwavering dedication to their baking magic. You've earned a permanent spot on my taste bud's honor roll. Keep whisking up the awesomeness, ABC! ‍‍

This is definitely our favorite bakery in Charlottesville ... maybe even Virginia. As a lifelong carb lover, I am obsessed with the bread here. I rarely have a sweet tooth, but I'm constantly craving all the sweet treats from this place! I think it's because nothing is sickly sweet and the ingredients are superior quality. I swear, I feel like I can practically taste the love. I think we're making a weekly stop to stock-up on goodies a new part of our routine.

Outstanding bakery! The Ham and Gruyere croissant warmed up was a delicious handheld breakfast! We also got their baguette, rosemary foccacia, lemon and blueberry scone, and a couple muffins. All were lovely.

This little bakery boasts the best cakes in town. Their European style Princess Cake is the area's favorite birthday cake with a thin layer of marzipan as the top. You can sample it in a cupcake-sized version to whet your appetite. They've got a pastry for everyone, but my favorites are their Italian plum pastries in the late summer. I wait for them every year. I haven't had anything I don't like, and they source as much of the fruit they use locally as they can as evidenced by their seasonal favorites. They make the best kings cake in town as well, if you are looking for one this year! They have an incredible cream puff with pistachios, and I swooned over their local persimmon cream tart. Who does this? I can't stay away!

I've traveled NYC, London, Paris and couldn't find a better bakery. Our go-to especially if we have out of town guests. If you're local make sure to try the pizza dough as well!

We stopped by at 9:30 on a Saturday morning and ABC was already hopping. Plenty of folks getting their morning pastries and bread. So many choices and everything looked delicious. Very excited that slices of cake are now for sale. My favorite is the princess cake and a single slice is the perfect size for 2 to share. Not only did we pick up a slice of cake, we ended up walking out with a slice of spinach quiche, a blueberry lemon scone, a chocolate babka, and a mocha explosion. Probably went overboard, but we enjoyed treats for the entire weekend.

Definitely my favorite bakery in town. I especially like their cakes and find myself ordering from this place over and over again—the princess cake is a classic, our favorite is the praline crunch cake, seasonal cakes are also creative and delicious, definitely more interesting than what you’ll find at many other places

Great selection of finely made pastries, it’s hard to choose just one. Particularly enjoyed the chocolate hazelnut croissant.
